I majored in math and physics at Yale, and received a PhD in statistical physics at Harvard. I have also worked in scientific areas throughout my career. As such, I have very deep expertise in math and science, and I enjoy passing that on to students. I am excellent at explaining things to people of all levels and abilities. I am highly experienced having tutored full time (>2000 hours per year) for the past few years. I primarily focus on math, physics, statistics, and chemistry, to college students, high school students, and professionals. I also tutor people in competition math / science such as AMC and AIME and USPhO, as I was top 4 in the US Chemistry Olympiad, top 20 in the US Physics Olympiad, and top 50 in the US Math Olympiad.

I graduated from Yale in 2019 with a degree in psychology with a neuroscience concentration. In college, I began working as a TA for organic chemistry and fell in love with the work of helping students achieve their academic dreams. Since then, I have started tutoring a broad range of subjects, including SAT and MCAT test preparation. Having scored 2330 on the SAT and 523 on the MCAT, I specialize in working with students preparing to take these examinations, but I have extensive experience tutoring subjects ranging from calculus to creative writing. In my many years of working closely with students from all backgrounds and ages (including middle and high school students), I have never met a student who was not capable of being successful academically. Some of my students struggled with testing anxiety, while others simply needed a firmer grasp of the fundamental concepts. For every student, I tailor my approach to best fit their learning style in order to facilitate their learning. I am very flexible with scheduling and will respond within 2 hours should you reach out to me. Feel free to contact me if I can answer any other questions about my background and qualifications!

I am a physics professor at the University of Arizona. I found out during the pandemic that I really like online teaching, and I realized that I sincerely miss all the one-on-one tutoring that I used to do at earlier stages in my career. Putting the two together (online tutoring) has been really rewarding for me. Please get in touch if you think I can help you out. I have been teaching and tutoring math and physics for more than 15 years. I am a popular instructor here at the University of Arizona, and I am also known for my public lectures on gravitational waves and astrophysics. I can tutor any subject in college-level math or physics, and many graduate-level topics as well. Examples include calculus, linear algebra, classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and statistical mechanics. I especially enjoy teaching special and general relativity, as the latter is my research area. I hold a B.S. from Yale University and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. I began my tutoring career as an undergraduate at Yale, providing physics help to minority and first-generation students as part of a program run by the college. Since then, I have taught math and physics to all kinds of students at all different levels. I love working individually with students of all stripes, and am truly excited about all the online opportunities available on this platform.
