Specialized in teaching JK to grade 12 in various subjects

I completed the Master of Teaching (MT) program at the University of Toronto (OISE), which combined teacher qualification with advanced study of educational theory and research. The program provided me with a strong foundation in curriculum, human development, ethics and educational law, equity, diversity and inclusion, Indigenous education, educational technology, instructional planning and design, and learning theory. Through three practice teaching experiences, I developed my teaching skills and applied the theoretical and practical knowledge gained throughout the program. This two-year, full-time program led to a Master of Teaching degree and prepared me for qualification with the Ontario College of Teachers. I am qualified to teach in the Primary and Junior (P/J) divisions of Ontario schools. I have also completed Additional Basic Qualifications in Health and Physical Education (Intermediate), completed in August 2026, and First Nations, Métis and Inuit Studies (Senior), completed in July 2026. I continue to work toward additional qualifications in other divisions.

Graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Educational Studies. During years 3 and 4 of the program, I had the opportunity to experience my education through learning placements within the community and in related organizations. I developed workplace-specific skills and enhanced my professional networks. Our unique community partnerships provided me with opportunities to put theory into practice and gain insight into the kinds of learning and advocacy that contribute to the well-being of society.

-Provides daily instruction across elementary classrooms, adapting lesson plans, learning activities, and classroom routines to meet diverse student needs while maintaining continuity of learning. -Establishes positive relationships with students and maintains safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environments through proactive classroom management and responsive support. -Collaborates with teachers, school staff, and administration to support student learning, well-being, and successful transitions throughout the school day.

-Taught Grade 6 students. -Designed and delivered engaging, Ontario Curriculum-aligned instruction in Mathematics, Language, Social Studies, Art, and Dance, incorporating hands-on and cross-curricular learning opportunities to promote student engagement and critical thinking. -Differentiated instruction and provided targeted support for English Language Learners (ELL), adapting learning materials and strategies to meet diverse language, academic, and learning needs. -Collaborated with the classroom teacher, coaches, and school staff while supporting both the junior girls’ and boys’ basketball teams, fostering teamwork, positive relationships, student participation, and well-being beyond the classroom.

-Taught Grade 5 students. -Differentiated instruction, assessment, and learning materials to respond to diverse strengths, interests, and learning needs, using formative assessment and descriptive feedback to guide student growth. -Built positive relationships with students and supported a safe, inclusive school community through proactive classroom management, collaboration with colleagues and families, and volunteering with the school’s morning Breakfast Club.

-Taught SK/Grade 1 students. -Collaborated with teachers, ECEs, EAs, and administration to support diverse learners and create responsive learning experiences that promoted inclusion, equity, and student well-being. -Applied positive classroom management, assessment, and equitable teaching strategies to foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment where students felt valued and supported.

-Taught at two locations: Aldergrove Public Elementary School for 1 year and Oscar Peterson Public Elementary School for 2 years. -Designed and delivered daily and weekly curriculum-aligned instruction for Grade 3–5 homeroom students, providing targeted Language and Mathematics instruction while differentiating learning to meet diverse needs. -Developed and facilitated engaging electives for students through Grade 8, including Ready Set Cook, Makerspace, Sportacular Fun, Fun Fitness, and Game Wizards, promoting creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and student choice. -Collaborated with principals, teachers, and support staff to support school-wide initiatives and foster safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments that promoted student belonging and well-being.

- Arrange English, Reading and Writing, and Math lesson plans for 40+ students daily. - Use a multitude of learning strategies and enforce classroom rules to ensure student safety and efficient learning. - Evaluate students’ work to ensure a thorough understanding and comprehension of the concepts being taught. - Compile daily reports on students’ learning progress and sent out updates to parents on a weekly basis.

- Supervised and supported campers ages 5 to 14 years old ensuring their safety and accuracy while executing daily schedulable recipes. - Executed and planned break time activities, arts and crafts, as well as team building exercises. - Followed and fulfilled daily prep requirements, completed, and logged inventory and orders for duration of camp. - Hosted graduation and a pop-up restaurant weekly; while decorating, establishing a theme, assigning restaurant roles, and ensuring all meals are prepared and ready to serve from 40 to 55 people.

- Ensure children safety whilst using materials and equipment during daily tasks. - Demonstrated and lead indoor and outdoor group activities, crafts, and games. - Used behavior management strategies to aid in conflict resolution amongst campers.

- Collaborate with parents to schedule 1-1.5 hour tutor sessions on a weekly basis. - Conduct bi-weekly tests and report cards, as well as communicate with parents to ensure all educational needs are satisfied. - Create lesson plans and assign homework focusing on reading and writing comprehension, science, geography, math, and other subjects. - Adapt lessons focusing on each student’s learning capabilities.

- Assisted teachers in grades 1 to 3 to complete daily tasks, meet the curriculum standards, and ensuring student engagement and classroom safety. - Worked closely with students that required extra help understanding concepts. - Utilised different tools and technological resources to teach students with ELL and ASD. - Analyzed the different teaching methods and implementation of activities that can be used in a classroom setting.

- Hosted informational seminars for Jane and Finch students in grades 9 and 10. - Taught students in large groups about the incentives and programs York University has to offer to meet their individual interests by implementing interactive activities around campus. - Planned students bus routes, provided lunch and snacks, and ensured student safety on York University campus. - Worked with colleagues to create daily lesson plans, implemented land acknowledgement, and schedule guest speakers to encourage group discussions.
