About

About me: I hold a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Electrical & Computer Engineering from McMaster University, where my research focused on optical wireless communications. I have 7+ years of teaching experience as a TA at both McMaster and the University of Tehran, and I have tutored 130+ students across +1100 hours throughout Canada and the US. I know firsthand how difficult ECE and math courses can be — and I know exactly where students get stuck. My sessions focus on building real understanding, not just getting through the homework. I explain the "why" behind the math, work through your actual course material, and send you session notes afterward so nothing gets lost. Courses I Can Help With: ● Electrical Engineering: Signals & Systems, Electrical Circuits, Circuits & Systems, Electronics I, Communication Systems, Digital Communications, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) ● University Math: Calculus I-IV, Differential Equations, Probability & Statistics, Linear Algebra ● High School: Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus & Vectors, Physics 11 & 12 ● Programming: MATLAB About the lessons: Every session is built around your course — your textbook, your professor's slides, your upcoming exam. I don't use generic problem sets; I work through what you're actually struggling with right now. Here's what a typical session looks like: we start by identifying exactly where you're stuck, I walk you through the concept from first principles until it clicks, then we practice with exam-style problems until you can do it on your own. I record sessions on request and send typed notes after each lesson. I'm available for one-time exam prep sessions as well as ongoing weekly tutoring. Most students see a noticeable improvement within 2–3 sessions. Reach out to confirm availability — I typically respond within an hour.

Proof That Math Can Be Less Scary (and Even Kinda Fun)!

Parham seriously knows his stuff, but more importantly, he knows how to explain it without making your brain short-circuit. LOL. He takes complicated math and electrical engineering concepts and breaks them down in a way that actually clicks. He’s sharp, clear, and surprisingly fun to learn from.

Great Tutor!!

Parham has been a really great help with my second year engineering class, Electric Circuits Analysis. He has helped make the content much easier to understand, and works to explain the concepts in ways that work the best for me. Scheduling is very easy and flexible, allowing me to work around my schedule. Definitely recommend!!

Amazing Tutor

Parham is an amazing tutor! He helped me so much with Calculus 3. I was struggling with triple integrals. He helped me with 3D visualization and is really good at breaking things down so they actually make sense. He is super patient and knowledgable. 10/10 would recommend!

Great Tutor. Highly recommended.

I had him for an electrical engineering 3rd year course (communication systems). He helped me go through the whole course syllabus and provided me a lot of practice exams/tests to work on to help me better prepare for when I actually have to take it. Not just providing a good understanding of the course material, he also provided tips and techniques on how to properly answer tests/exams which really helped me excel in the course. Would not have done well without his help. Highly recommended.

Amazing Tutor!!

Parham is a godsend! He worked with our son for around six months, and we saw such a remarkable improvement in his grades, his concentration and overall grasp in math physics.
