October 2020 - presentCasual Tutor
At Ezy Math Tutoring, I have worked closely with students in primary and middle school, teaching both Mathematics and English. Key tasks undertaken are as follows:
1. Preparing a test in the first lesson to understand the strengths and weaknesses of my client.
2. Interacting with my students, and their parents to set realistic academic goals.
3. Preplanning my lesson content by preparing slides containing practice problems or exercises related to
the topic being covered.
4. Conducting test preparation, and assisting with school assignments
5. Lodging hours within my tutor portal, and providing feedback after every lesson with each client. This
feedback consists of what was covered, what went well, and what can be improved.
6. Monitoring the progress that my clients are making, and reporting to their parent at the end of each
lesson.

January 2018 - February 2018Peer Tutor (Volunteer Work Experience)
A key requisite of the International Baccalaureate Curriculum, was the completion of CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) which requires students to undertake a minimum of 150 hours of extracurricular activities. As part of the CAS program, I completed up to 30 hours of volunteer tutoring sessions for students in grade 11 & 12. I worked with 6 students, teaching Mathematics Standard Level, Physics Higher Level, and Chemistry Higher Level. This experience enabled me to develop skills in communication and leadership, and to strengthen my own curriculum knowledge.
Key tasks undertaken as part of the experience were as follows:
1. Devising a plan for each student, and taking into account their personal needs and goals.
2. Conducting test preparation, including going over practice questions, and preparing notes which cover
important concepts, and are easy to follow.
3. Assist individual students with assignments, projects, papers and lab work in the subjects listed.
4. Monitoring improvements for students through tracking spreadsheet.
5. Providing written reflections to our CAS coordinator.
