I’m Andrei, an online tutor with over 10 years of experience. I help school students, university students and adult learners work through difficult material with clear explanations and time to ask questions.
SCHOOL & HOMESCHOOL SUPPORT
Math, English, reading, writing and study skills for Grades 1–12. We can strengthen foundations, work through homework, prepare for tests or move ahead, with the pace and practice adapted to the student.
SSAT & ISEE PREPARATION
Structured practice in math, reading comprehension and verbal reasoning, with worked examples, practice questions and mock tests. We review mistakes together so students understand the reasoning behind each answer.
UNIVERSITY SUPPORT
Political science, psychology, English literature and academic writing. I hold a BA in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from York University. I help students make sense of readings, connect course concepts, organise arguments and prepare for assessments.
HOW I TEACH
We start by finding the step that is causing difficulty. I explain it, work through an example, then give the student a chance to try and explain their thinking. I use original worksheets and practice materials, and adjust the explanation when something hasn’t clicked. Sessions are relaxed, focused and interactive.
