About
Hi! I’m a Macaulay Honors College student and Stuyvesant High School graduate with 3+ years of tutoring experience from NYC. I tutor Spanish, math, science, and test preparation, helping students strengthen their foundations, keep up with coursework, prepare for AP exams and NYS Regents, and become more confident in their abilities.
My approach is patient, interactive, and personalized. I first get a sense of what a student already understands and where they’re struggling, then adjust my explanations and practice to fit their needs. When a concept is difficult, I break it down and use different explanations and analogies until it is clear. I also encourage students to explain their thinking and work through problems themselves, rather than simply giving them the answer.
I earned 4s and 5s on my AP exams and the NYS Seal of Biliteracy, and I’ve worked with students with a range of backgrounds and skill levels. My past students have described me as patient and said that I make difficult material easier to understand.
My goal is not just to help students get through their next assignment or exam, but to help them develop the understanding and confidence to approach unfamiliar problems independently. I’d be happy to work with you and help you reach your academic goals!
