Hi! My name is Spencer, and I recently completed a Master’s degree in Neuroscience at University College London. My main research project focused on cognitive processes, where I analyzed both neural and behavioral data. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience in English and SAT preparation. My teaching approach focuses on understanding the mechanisms behind each concept. Rather than simply explaining why an answer is right or wrong, I help students grasp the underlying reasoning — and more importantly, how to apply that knowledge to similar questions. This method helps students adapt quickly and improve their performance efficiently. SAT In the SAT, I specialize in strategy and comprehension, and I’ve helped students raise their scores from the 1300s to the 1500s within just a few weeks. I personally achieved a perfect score in SAT Math, and I share the problem-solving frameworks that made that possible. Neuroscience, Psychology, Biology & Chemistry With a Master’s in Neuroscience from University College London, I also bring a strong academic background in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biology, and Chemistry. I enjoy mentoring students not just in academics but also in approaching research projects — from formulating ideas to analyzing data — drawing from my own continuous research experience.
