About

I am a dedicated and compassionate individual who has had 5+ years paid and volunteer experience working with children of all ages as a tutor, counsellor and mentor. Most recently I tutored a 6th grade young-adult in Middle Level SSAT prep, helping her to score high enough to make it into some of the top schools in Ontario. I treat all my students with patience and respect, and seek to create a welcoming environment for maximum learning potential. I have expertise in up to middle school Math and Science, and up to high school French, Biology and Psychology, which I am currently studying as my major. I can't wait to begin working with you!

Work Experience

More Than A Dream Princess Parties

January 2019 - present
Performer
I currently work as a solo performer for birthday parties and with a group of multiple performers at larger events. I lead kids through singing, dancing, crafts, and other themed party games. By interacting with and listening to the kids, I am able to inspire them and make them feel like they had become friends with a real princess. I also manage and organize other duties with my fellow performers including preparing song and dance numbers, taking care of costumes, and preparing decorations, art supplies, and catering for events.

Diverbo PuebloIngles

June 2015 - July 2015
Volunteer
I volunteered for a week with an English immersion camp in Spain to help Spanish teens improve their English speaking skills through hour-long one-to-one conversation sessions and language-oriented group activities. I demonstrated friendliness and compassion to all campers, and took extra care to help those who were younger, more shy or were not able to communicate as well to feel more comfortable around me and others. One girl I interacted with barely spoke on the first day, but by the end of the week was holding her own in conversations with everyone else.
