As a microbiology major, I learned how microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites affect human health, the environment, and industry, including their structure, metabolism, genetics, and interactions with hosts, while gaining hands-on laboratory skills in aseptic technique, culturing, staining, microscopy, and basic molecular methods, as well as understanding immunology, antimicrobial action and resistance, disease diagnosis, biosafety, and developing strong critical thinking, observation, and analytical skills.

As a tutor at IBA Tutoring, I handled a wide range of learners from elementary to senior high school, primarily teaching Canadian students across different grade levels and academic needs. I taught foundational Science and Mathematics to elementary and middle school students, helping them build strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills, while also handling higher-level sciences for senior high learners, including more advanced topics that required critical thinking and analytical skills. In addition, I worked with young learners in developing their reading abilities, focusing on phonics, comprehension, and fluency to strengthen their academic foundation. This experience allowed me to adapt my teaching strategies to different ages, learning styles, and curricula, and sharpened my ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, patient, and engaging way.

As the Head Academic Tutor of PrimusEd International, I lead by example through active, high-level teaching across different subjects and grade levels, handling complex lessons and advanced students who require deeper academic support. I specialize in delivering well-structured, concept-focused instruction, breaking down difficult topics into clear and engaging explanations that promote critical thinking and mastery. I design customized learning strategies, provide intensive one-on-one and small group sessions, and ensure that students not only improve their grades but also develop confidence, independence, and strong study habits.
