Tutor Information

About

Amanda is a master tutor and has a B.S. in liberal studies pre-teaching from Santa Clara University. In college she discovered her love for excelling students academic abilities on an individual basis. She has over 4 years of tutoring and over 10 years of experience with children. She has varied skill set from: nannying, in home behavioral health , aiding for special education, and being a camp counselor. She tutors primary and secondary education in both mathematics, language arts, and reading. Her tutoring style is very unique, building confidence in her students which in turn develops weaknesses into strengths. “I love being able to see the light bulb go off. A lot of the time it just takes one on one academic attention and affirmation,” says Amanda. Testimonial from a client: “Tutoring in the summer helped so much. I felt like the cobwebs were swept away and I was ready and excited to learn math. Other students still had to clear the cobwebs because of the time off from school.” Lilly O.

Intuitive and experienced

Amanda is a bright and caring tutor with loads of experience. She is patient, kind and trustworthy. When my son had difficulty concentrating she provided tons of resources and her expertise was amazing. She is such a delight. My son said she is so warm and I agree! Having a tutor that is understating, can be pick up on signals of your child needs and is so resourceful is the best.
