Does your child struggle with reading? If so, I can help. I have been teaching for over 17 years and know the importance of setting the right foundations for reading. I started working in London then moved to Dubai so have a wealth of experience in helping children's reading with different needs and language levels. I have helped many pupils over the years, especially children who have entered my classroom with no English. In my tutoring, I start off with a phonics assessment to identify any gaps in the child's learning then personalise each phonics lesson to ensure your child learns the correct skills and makes progress. I understand the importance of identifying the gaps in reading skills and ensuring the foundations are set using phonics teaching. I am a trained phonics teacher using the Read Write Inc programme and have lead phonics programmes in different year groups in schools. In all my phonics lessons I ensure the key skills are taught including learning new sounds, blending for reading and segmenting for spelling, then applying these skills into reading and writing. I hope to help your child learn to love reading and become a lifelong reader.
