Gained hands-on experience through clinical placements at Extendicare York and Lifemark Physiotherapy. I also developed strong skills in patient care, mobility support, and interdisciplinary teamwork.

I currently work as a Rehabilitation Assistant at North Shore Health Network, where I support physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering individualized care to clients. I assist with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and daily functional activities, ensuring each session is safe and effective. I help set up and clean treatment areas, document client progress, and encourage active participation in therapy. This role allows me to apply my clinical knowledge while continuing to grow in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

During my placement at Lifemark Physiotherapy, I worked alongside physiotherapists in an outpatient clinical setting, assisting with therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education. I supported clients recovering from orthopedic and neurological conditions, helped set up treatment areas, and guided clients through their exercise programs. I also observed assessments, documented progress, and learned to adapt treatment approaches to meet individual client needs. This experience strengthened my clinical reasoning and communication skills in a fast-paced rehab environment.

During my placement at Extendicare York, I supported residents in a long-term care setting by assisting with therapeutic exercises and mobility activities under the guidance of occupational and physiotherapists.
