-The course based Master of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Option) will prepare graduates for leadership positions within the automotive and manufacturing industries. - An MEng Degree awarded upon successful completion of a total of eight courses.

-The Department of Automobile Engineering was established in the year 2006. Automobile Industry has garnered immense appreciation since the realization of vehicle’s capacity to ease routine migration. - Excessive demand of reliable, modern yet high on comfort vehicles has made automobile engineering the most sought after field in today’s times, worldwide. -At Indus this department endeavors to teach the design, development, fabrication, and testing of components/systems of vehicles from their conceptual to realization stage. -During the programme one learns about integration of basic and fundamental concepts of mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer and safety engineering aspects. It allows students to have deep study of various subjects within four years of graduation. -The discipline prepares students to build new ideas & possibilities in the field of research & development of technologies and explore future sustainability of automobile industry.

Quality check, Production and testing of Automotive parts

• Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors. Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy. Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements. •Maintain department 5S requirements. Submit and implement lean and safety suggestions. Set-up and troubleshoot machines in a safe and productive manner. Analyze “out of tolerance” conditions and make adjustments. • Work to continuously improve all areas of productivity and reduce scrap. Provide direct supervision to operators in the absence of the supervisor. • Train and assist operators with troubleshooting as needed and work in a team environment. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Read the mechanical drawings and conduct assemblies of packaging automation machines. • Installation of devices on the automation machines. Document the checklist for mechanical assembly according to the mechanical drawings and datasheets. • Conduct testing and troubleshooting as necessary • Assist manufacturing engineer to document the instruction manuals. Assisting the mechanical engineer with mechanical design and maintenance tasks. Assist in the design of molds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures for use in manufacturing process. • Maintain and follow the workplace safety polices, regulations and compliance to ensure the efficient and safe completion of work. • Utilize hand tools and power tools as needed while maintaining safety standard.

• During my job assisted and mentored students in groups and individual basis. Provided educational material, daily lesson plans and daily homework plans which helped them to get success in their field.

• Assist operations and quality function in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels to the quality supervisor. Analyzed and investigated product complaints and reported quality issues to ensure continues supply with the same efficiency and effectiveness. • Assisted program manager to identify risks and challenges in the feasibility stage to ensure the products meet customer and internal quality expectations. • Worked positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures relevant to team activities. Provided support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team. • Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained. Ensuring that document and product is good quality also making report of availability of material and completion of assigned duties. • Gathered and analyzed product defect data and proposed countermeasures. Responsible for product validation testing including reviewing customer test specifications with test labs, analyzing the test results, and ensuring timely submission of test reports and certification to the customer.
