Hi, I’m Sierra, a nurse with six years of experience and a strong background in nursing education. I completed the RPN program, an RPN-to-RN bridging program, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. My tutoring approach is supportive, practical, and personalized to each student’s learning style. I break down difficult nursing concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations and connect theory to real clinical examples. I use practice questions, case studies, visual learning tools, memory techniques, and step-by-step review to help students understand the material rather than simply memorize it. A typical lesson begins with a discussion of the student’s goals and areas of difficulty. We then review the main concepts, work through examples or nursing scenarios, and complete practice questions together. I also teach test-taking strategies, prioritization, critical thinking, and how to identify the most important information in nursing exam questions. At the end of each lesson, we review key points and create a plan for continued studying. What sets me apart is my experience completing the nursing education journey from RPN to RN. I understand the challenges of nursing school, bridging programs, clinical placements, assignments, and exam preparation. I provide a welcoming and judgment-free learning environment where students can ask questions, build confidence, and develop stronger clinical reasoning skills.
