About

Hello! My name is Mrs. Hathaway and I have been a substitute teacher in the public school system for over 20 years. My experience is with all grades, K-12 but my focus has mostly been with grades K-6. As an elementary educator, I have experience teaching all subjects but reading, writing, and reading comprehension are my favorite areas. Reading and writing is integrated across the curriculum and essential for success in other subjects. In addition to elementary, I have a background in special education having not only taken all the coursework but have worked with children with special needs including ADD/ADHD and autism spectrum disorder. Everyone learns differently and my goal has always been to meet the needs of all learners. As your tutor, I am here to help with homework, study strategies, reading, writing, grammar, and math.
