Ciao! I'm Nicola, a native Italian speaker from Italy, now based in Burnaby, British Columbia.
With 18 years of teaching and tutoring experience and over 25 years of involvement in Italian politics, public institutions, and professional communication, I bring a unique perspective to teaching the Italian language.
Throughout my career, I have held political and institutional responsibilities at regional and national levels in Italy. This experience has given me a deep understanding of Italian language, culture, society, and the many ways Italians communicate in everyday and professional life.
I believe learning Italian is about much more than memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules. It is about discovering the people, traditions, history, and culture that make the language come alive.
My lessons are personalized for students of all ages and proficiency levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Whether you want to improve your conversation skills, pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary, prepare for a trip to Italy, reconnect with your Italian heritage, or develop professional language skills, I will tailor our lessons to your goals.

Served on the Board of Directors of an Italian public institution operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture.
My responsibilities included institutional relations, communication, negotiation, and coordination with organizations operating at the national level.
This experience strengthened my understanding of Italian institutions, professional communication, and the cultural and social context of the Italian language.
