Expert Biology, Chemistry, & MCAT tutor (12+ years experience) - Medical Student & PhD Graduate

Tutor Information

About

Having completed my PhD in Neuroscience, I have since gone on to start medical school at the start of 2022. I have over 12 years of experience tutoring and teaching university level courses. I have tutored students 1-on-1, helping to identify areas of issues and finding solutions that best suit the individual needs of each student. As a previous teaching assistant at the University of Ottawa, I am also well acquainted with the curriculum, labs/assignments, and expectations of the courses. I have often found that overlooking simple details and/or misunderstandings have stood in the way of student's reaching their full potential (an A+!) and I would love to help you get the grades you deserve. I am patient, approachable, and a firm believer that there are no "silly questions". I'm here to offer a judgement-free learning environment, and offer support and guidance in helping you to gain a deeper understanding of your course material. Do not hesitate to reach out if you're in need of a tutor - I would be happy to arrange a free consult to hear about where you are in your studies, and discuss how I can help you achieve the best grades possible!

Just the clarification I needed

An amazing tutor who takes the time to break down concepts as much as needed!

Highly recommend

As someone who always thought they were incapable of being tutored, Anisha proved me wrong by fostering such a comfortable and judgement-free learning environment. I was always intimidated by Science, and Gen Chem being my first major STEM class was brutal, but I can confidently say that without her help I would have drowned in the material. She makes relatable connections and takes her time to ensure sure you understand the fundamentals, which is crucial in such a class. She is extremely intelligent and instills confidence. I brag about her!

Great! You really explained everything to me!

I just wish we had a little bit more time to go over the rest of the lab as I'm a bit unsure what to do in my own time.

AMAZINGLY knowledgable, patient, accessible tutor

Anisha was such a pleasure to work with this year! Had so much knowledge to share about neuroscience and physiology for my university level courses, as well as with medical school and her experiences going through the process. Anisha was always there to provide her insight, answer questions, and relieve me of some of my worries. I've appreciated her patience with my chaotic schedule as a student so very much! 10/10 recommend working with her!!
