I earned a bachelor’s degree in history from William Paterson University, where my studies focused heavily on research, analysis, and clear written communication. Through my coursework, I developed the ability to break down complex material and explain it in a clear, structured way. This academic background helps me guide students through difficult concepts and encourages them to think critically about the subjects they are studying rather than simply memorizing information.
For the past three years, I have worked as a tutor through Lessonpal, where I have provided individualized one-on-one instruction. During this time, I have worked with students across a wide range of ages and skill levels, including younger students, high school students, and adult learners. Because all of my sessions are conducted individually, I have significant experience tailoring lessons to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style while helping them build confidence in the material.
My tutoring approach is largely student-guided. I believe students learn best when they are actively involved in the process, so I encourage them to help shape the direction of each session while I serve as a mentor who clarifies difficult concepts and reinforces important foundations. This method allows students to take ownership of their learning while still receiving structured guidance. I am comfortable tutoring learners at any grade level and focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and steadily improve their understanding.
