Tutor Information

About

I am a PhD Chemical Engineer, Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), and university engineering instructor with extensive experience (15+ years) teaching and applying mathematics, thermodynamics, modelling, and engineering problem-solving. I tutor high school, college, and university students in Pre-Calculus, Calculus I–III, Differential Equations, Engineering Mathematics, ODEs, introductory PDEs, Multivariable Calculus, Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Mathematical Modelling, as well as Thermodynamics and Chemical Engineering. My teaching approach is concept-based, visual, and step-by-step. I focus on helping students understand why a method works, recognize the appropriate solution approach, and develop the skills to solve problems independently. I use interactive software and a digital tablet to explain concepts and work through problems with real-time annotations. After each session, I share the annotated digital material with students for review, practice, and exam preparation. For Differential Equations and Engineering Mathematics, I can help with first- and higher-order ODEs, systems of differential equations, Laplace transforms, series solutions, Fourier series, introductory PDEs, separation of variables, and engineering applications. I particularly enjoy helping engineering and science students connect mathematical methods to their physical meaning and practical applications. I can also help students prepare for assignments, quizzes, midterms, and final exams through representative problems and effective problem-solving strategies. Sessions are adapted to your course, current level, and learning goals.
