Preply and Superprof
May 2023 - February 2026Mathematics and Science tutor
As a freelance tutor on platforms like Preply and Superprof, I have worked with a diverse range of students across Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, from school level to early college. This experience allowed me to teach students from different countries, educational systems, and learning backgrounds, giving me a global perspective on how students approach STEM subjects.
Through freelancing, I developed the ability to quickly assess a student’s level, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and design personalized lesson plans that focus on both conceptual clarity and practical problem-solving. I have supported students with academic coursework, exam preparation, and long-term subject mastery.
Working independently also strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and ability to keep students consistently engaged in an online setting. I focus on making complex scientific and mathematical concepts simple, relatable, and easy to apply, helping students not only improve academically but also build genuine interest and confidence in the subjects.
Varsity tutors
March 2022 - November 2024Mathematics tutor
I worked as a Mathematics Tutor at Varsity Tutors, where I provided one-on-one instruction to students from K–12 through college level across a wide range of topics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. My role involved not only helping students with homework and exam preparation but also identifying gaps in their understanding and building strong foundational concepts.
During my time there, I learned how to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs—whether a student required step-by-step guidance, visual explanations, or fast-paced problem-solving strategies for competitive exams. I also developed strong skills in simplifying complex mathematical concepts into clear and manageable steps.
This experience strengthened my ability to create a supportive and patient learning environment, helping students gain confidence, improve accuracy, and approach mathematics with a more positive mindset.
