Hello! I'm Yona, and I graduated from the University of Toronto, specializing in English/Creative Writing/Education!
I have always loved teaching English to others by using the most fun and engaging methods. I was an AP English student in high school and am familiar with writing expectations for formal and close-reading analysis essays. I also have over 8 years of experience in creative writing and self-web publishing. When I teach, I love providing my students with feedback on their work and watching them absorb and improve the next time. I have experience teaching writers from various age groups, cultural backgrounds, writing styles, interests, and skills over the past 4 years.
I have also interned at various Japanese high schools and kindergartens as an English teacher, so I have experience teaching English as a second language as well.
I strongly believe that there is no right or wrong in writing. It is all about how you explore and express your creativity and ideas. I am simply here to guide you through the technical details to help you better express such ideas and grow as the individual writer you aspire to be!
