I am an online tutor with over five years of experience. Being your tutor will allow me to identify your problem areas, understand your strengths, and equip you with the necessary skills to overcome the obstacles at hand. As your tutor, I want to collaborate with you and work on helping you become a better version of yourself.
My strongest suit is writing and reading. I am a writing and reading enthusiast! My experience in writing encompasses a range of skills, including proofreading, editing, outlining, citation management, and brainstorming. I provide thorough feedback and recommendations on essays via Google Docs.
My experience in reading ranges from expressive language, story analysis, context clues, digraphs/syllables, and phonological awareness. The overall goal is to help you find joy in reading while understanding the context of a story.
My process is simple. First, I conduct a live video interview to gain a deeper understanding of your needs and goals. Once scheduled, our first session is a trial session. During our session, I will do an assessment and later create an individualized tutoring plan.
Overall, I am incredibly patient but honest. I believe in providing constructive criticism and motivating my students to want more. I am a visual teacher and believe that visuals, props, and animation are crucial to understanding complex concepts.

Margaret is amazing, and after just a few sessions I am seeing BIG results.
Margaret is helping my kindergarten aged child with reading skills, and it is resulting in more confidence and ability. My daughter has struggled with reading, and with Covid-19 closing schools, she fell further behind. Margaret has tried various things, including fun games that also help my child learn. This tutoring is worth the investment and something I plan to keep for the long-term.
