I am an Anesthesiology resident and a recent graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine. Throughout medical school, I developed a strong passion for teaching, mentorship, and helping students approach medicine with confidence rather than fear. I passed USMLE Step 1 on first-attempt and I scored a 260 on USMLE Step 2. In doing so, I became especially interested in clinical reasoning, test-taking strategy, and simplifying difficult concepts into understandable frameworks.
My tutoring experience spans several years across both academic and medical settings. I previously worked as a chemistry tutor and learning coach, later mentoring medical students through peer tutoring, small group learning, and academic mentorship roles. I regularly help students with board preparation, shelf exams, study planning, and developing structured approaches to USMLE-style questions.
My teaching style focuses heavily on understanding pathophysiology step-by-step instead of relying solely on memorization. I enjoy helping students identify patterns, improve question interpretation, and build long-term critical thinking skills that extend beyond exams into clinical medicine. I also understand firsthand how mentally demanding board preparation can be, so I strive to create a supportive, encouraging, and individualized learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through weaknesses honestly.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking, learning Spanish, mentorship, and community outreach throughout Detroit.
