Informations du tuteur

À propos

Hello! I'm a recent international Environmental Engineering graduate from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, and a former International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma student. I offer online tutoring in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and selected engineering-related subjects, from middle school through high school (including IB) to university-level topics within my expertise. My background goes beyond the classroom. I've applied maths and science through university hydrology research, engineering design projects, and community-based work in Ghana focused on water resources and flood resilience. I enjoy helping students see how the concepts they study connect to real-world problems. I also know what it's like to struggle with a subject. Sometimes an explanation simply doesn't click, and that can be frustrating or discouraging. I believe struggling doesn't mean you can't succeed. Sometimes, all it takes is a different approach, more time, or stronger foundations. My lessons are patient, flexible, and student-centered. We'll identify what you understand, work through the areas causing difficulty, and focus on why a method works, not just on finding the right answer. I adapt explanations, use practical examples, and encourage questions without judgment. Whether you need exam preparation, a structured revision plan, or occasional support, we'll shape sessions around your goals. Although I'm based in Halifax, I warmly welcome students from across Canada and internationally, including those following different educational systems and curricula, as long as I'm familiar with the material and we can find mutually suitable times across time zones. Above all, I want to be the tutor I would have appreciated when I was struggling: approachable, dependable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping you develop the knowledge, confidence, and independence to succeed.

Éducation

Dalhousie University

2021 - 2026
Bachelor of Engineering (BEng), Co-Operative Education, Environmental Engineering
Graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering (Co-operative Education). My studies provided a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and engineering sciences, including calculus, statistics, mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, environmental chemistry, and mathematical modelling. Specialized coursework included water and wastewater treatment, hydrology, hydraulics, environmental microbiology, water quality, and environmental measurement and analysis. Beyond coursework, I gained practical experience through university hydrology research, engineering design projects, and international community-based initiatives focused on water resources and flood resilience. For my senior capstone project, I helped develop a conceptual drinking water treatment plant for a remote Canadian Arctic community. My education strengthened my technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, while developing my appreciation for applying academic concepts to real-world challenges.

American School of Doha

2019 - 2021
International Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)
Graduated from the American School of Doha in 2021 with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, earning 39 points. Higher Level (HL): Physics, Economics, and English Language & Literature. Standard Level (SL): Chemistry, Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA), and French Ab Initio. Received the Academic Excellence Award for Theory of Knowledge (TOK). The IB Diploma Program developed my analytical thinking, scientific reasoning, research, communication, and independent learning skills, providing a strong academic foundation for my subsequent studies in Environmental Engineering at Dalhousie University.
