I completed my PhD in Chemical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, where I developed high-performance catalysts for Fischer–Tropsch synthesis as part of a micro-refinery concept designed to convert wasted natural gas into cleaner liquid fuels. My research combined catalyst synthesis and characterization with high-temperature, high-pressure reactor testing, reaction engineering, kinetics, experimental design, data analysis, and process optimization. I worked on developing catalysts that could achieve high activity and selectivity while remaining suitable for practical reactor operation and scale-up. I continue working on this micro-refinery technology as a postdoctoral researcher, where my work has expanded toward catalyst scale-up, pilot-scale production, reactor testing, and process development. This experience has given me a strong ability to approach complex problems from both fundamental and practical perspectives, and to turn challenging research questions into structured experiments and solutions.

Postdoctoral Fellow
I currently work as a Chemical Engineering Postdoctoral Researcher, leading the development and scale-up of catalyst technology for a pilot-scale micro-refinery that converts flared natural gas into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other liquid fuels. My work spans the full engineering development cycle, from laboratory formulation and experimental design to pilot-scale validation. I have scaled catalyst production from laboratory batches to approximately 100 kg of spray-dried catalyst, developed solutions to manufacturing bottlenecks, and contributed to reactor and process optimization. I have also led 60+ experiments involving high-temperature and high-pressure catalysts and coatings, focusing on performance, adhesion, wear resistance, and degradation. My work involves reaction engineering, mass and heat balances, temperature profiling, process calculations, data analysis, process simulation, and equipment design. Beyond the technical work, I lead multidisciplinary teams and supervise engineers, scientists, and technicians while coordinating with industrial partners and suppliers. I also have extensive experience in experimental planning, troubleshooting, technical documentation, safety, and moving technologies from laboratory research toward practical industrial applications.
