About
Self-motivated ESL Tutor seeking to help students speak English with the same confidence, clarity, and cleverness they have in their native language. I create engaging, comprehensive, and fun lessons that are personalized, according to the individual student's needs and goals.
I work on various topics: speaking, listening, reading comprehension, written communication, vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, idioms, phrasal verbs, Business English, interview practice, and everyday conversation topics. Having lived in the US, England, and Scotland, we can also discuss the cultural or linguistic particulars of each place if you are moving there or just interested in this topic.
I have experience tutoring adults, adolescents, and kids (7+) individually or in groups. I teach from the A2 level up and specialize in helping intermediate (B1-B2) and advanced (C1+) students get past their plateau level, to see new advancements in their proficiency. I also have an MA in Cognitive Science from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, where I studied relevant topics such as Linguistics and the Psychology of Second Language Acquisition. My previous experience in the Advertising and UX Design/Design Operations corporate worlds is also used where relevant to assist my Business English teachings.
On a personal level, I enjoy meditation, health/wellness, travel, photography, spirituality, yoga, Premier League football, exploring different cuisines, and photography.
