Certified teacher available to make understanding science a breeze!

Hello! My name is Mel and I'm a certified science teacher offering tutoring services to families who would like to help their students keep up with school work in the midst of school closures. My experience includes teaching grade 1 through grade 12 in Alberta. I have taught all subjects and grades in elementary, and have taught grade 7-12 general science, biology, and chemistry. I have 10 years of experience as a private tutor (in person and online), experience working as a substitute teacher, and have held a job at the University of Alberta running science programming for kids. I'm patient, enthusiastic, friendly, and creative. I strive to make online tutoring as interactive and stimulating as possible! I love infusing my online lessons with creative demos and mini activities and interesting ties to real world applications. I ensure my learners are able to grasp concepts before moving on and have high success rates with my students due to my ability to explain concepts in multiple ways to meet my students where their understanding is at.
