Hello! My name is Victor. I hold a Bachelor of Art degree in music. I speak and also teaching in the English language. With almost 10years of experience in both teaching and performing. I have developed a deep passion for music pedagogy, training over 5000 students worldwide(remotely and physically). My expertise spans multiple instruments, including the violin, piano, guitar, as well as voice, allowing me to connect with students of various backgrounds and skill levels. I have taught kids, teenagers, adults, as well as older adults. My commitment to music education is driven by a desire to inspire others and cultivate their love for music. In addition to teaching, I excel in music production, songwriting, and vocal performance. I believe that music is not only an art form but also a powerful means of expression. By blending creativity with technical expertise, I aim to help my students discover their unique voices and musical identities. My approach emphasizes the importance of both foundational skills and artistic exploration, ensuring that students feel confident and empowered in their musical journeys. I teach music theory lessons with solfege (tonic solfa), alphabets, and numbers. This varies with students. My ultimate goal is to ensure my students have a good grasp of the lesson, irrespective of their age or music proficiency. Whenever I am not occupied with music related activities, I relax by watching inspirational podcasts, science, domestic animals and wildlife, aviation, history, My classes are designed to be exciting, warm, and simplified, making the learning process enjoyable. I prioritize creating an inviting atmosphere where students feel comfortable to express themselves and maximize their potentials. By fostering a supportive environment, I encourage my students to explore their creativity and develop their musical skills at their own pace. I can already visualize an awesome learning experience with you. See you in class!

PhD Musicologist, Composer, and Experienced Teacher 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️

Hi! I have a PhD in musicology and have taught music theory and history at both Ivy League and community colleges. As a music scholar, composer, and performer, I have found that it is not enough to study a textbook. To become truly "fluent" in a skill – to develop such an experienced ear, feeling, and mind for a subject that it feels totally natural – we need to unleash our inner curiosity. Rather than forcing my students through a strict, traditional regimen, I view my work as that of a guide. I help my students explore their own passions and goals. I inspire them to ask questions and think independently. I am particularly keen on navigating my students through the vast and amazing world of FREE online music resources and communities. In addition to private tutoring, I have taught music theory and history at Brown University, New York University, Hebrew College, and the Borough of Manhattan Community College. I've written several blogs, including one on the music theory of Disney music. As an out-and-proud transgender woman and omnisexual, I understand and fully support LGBTQ+ students. I look forward to working together!

Vocal Performance, Music Theory, Piano Improv & Music Production

BIO Hi (: I am a music instructor and producer, specializing in vocal performance, music theory, piano improv, & composition. Most of my free time is spent writing songs and producing them, working in Logic X and ProTools. My parents bought a standup piano when I was four, and at age six they found lessons for a few months through a family friend. I continued on my own and played by ear until I was a teenager and started to pursue music academically. Raised in a bilingual (french & english) household, I worked my way through college as a pastry chef. Passionate about food, travel and the arts, I’m always looking for opportunities to collaborate and connect. Please don't be shy, message for more information about private lessons, group exclusives, collaborations, and community networking any time! APPROACH Lessons with me are student-centric, focusing on classical foundation in all fields and placing strong emphasis on accommodating individual students' specific ambitions. Strong stage presence, deeper understanding of blending & breath support, and a sharper ear for intuitive learning are all skills you can expect to develop with me. Song motivated lesson plans, finding a way of having a good time, and making music in every lesson are tenets I hold near and dear. LESSON POLICIES Reschedules and cancellations for private lessons require a minimum of 24 hours advance notice.

Where Math, Music, and Pop Culture can Intersect!

Hello! I enjoy meeting students where they need at any level and breaking things down as well. I also believe there are a lot of valuable things to be learned from popular media, most notably how valuable video games can be as a learning tool, especially for math. Though math and music are my main focuses I am also excited to help students with English, reading, theatre, and science as I can! I am currently getting a degree in elementary education, with a history in music education and high school to lower college level math as well! I have tutored officially for 3 years, and a total of 5 years when I include tutoring friends in high school. I have spent the last several months working as a substitute teacher in local schools as well, so I've had my fair share of teaching!
