Ph.D. Writing Tutor Specializing in Dissertation and Research

My name is Dr. Danisha T. I am deeply passionate about assisting graduate students in their writing journey. My extensive experience in academic writing, from capstone to dissertation to discussion posts and literature reviews, has made the writing process enjoyable for me and resulted in over 99% of my papers receiving A's. This wealth of experience instills confidence in my ability to guide and support you in your academic writing endeavors. I edited and proofread all my group projects in grad school. My classmates were impressed that I could combine multiple writing styles and create a singular paper with one voice. One of the challenges many students face is creating work that reflects their voice and having a personal writing process. Understanding the challenges and the right approach for the dissertation project can be daunting. However, I believe my personal experiences and the assistance I've provided to others during this arduous process can be of great help. I understand the struggles and can provide the support and guidance you need to write your academic papers. I have a master's degree in psychology from Walden University, focusing on crisis management and response. I also have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Walden University with close to 3000 hours of clinical practice. I'm also a registered nurse (MSN, BSN) with 20 years of experience in psychology/psychiatry, critical care, and management. Also, I have over a decade of writing, editing, and proofreading experience. I have written research papers, a capstone, and a dissertation; thus, I understand the challenges of picking a topic and finding the gap. Having been in your shoes, I can assure you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. You can reach your academic and professional goals with hard work, dedication, and guidance. I am here to support you, and I am confident that you will succeed. So, reach out to me now, and let's navigate your journey through grad school together!

University of Delaware

Experienced, Award-Winnning College English Instructor

I am an enthusiastic teacher of English literature and composition comfortable in both in-person and online settings. I have over ten years tutoring experience with high school, college, and graduate students as well as adult learners and I have over five years teaching experience with college students. I work with students on their reading, writing, researching, and critical thinking skills through assignments, activities, and one-on-one instruction. My pedagogical training (which I received in my undergraduate and both of my graduate institutions) has focused on academic reading and writing while my literary training has concentrated on twentieth and twenty-first century American literature, Victorian through contemporary English language science fiction, and twentieth century British modernism. Students frequently comment on my easygoing manner in the classroom, my dedication to individual students, and my careful approach to designing lesson plans. One student in my introductory writing class noted, “They care about forming relationships with their students and are very straightforward about a lot of the content, making it easier to understand. They enrich the course with various tools for learning and treat us like every individual is important and equal.” My department at the University of Delaware recognized me for my teaching by awarding me the department’s Innovative Teaching Award in August of 2022. I am currently finishing up my doctorate in English at the University of Delaware. I recently moved from the east coast to Columbus, OH and I’m tutoring alongside some other part-time work as I finish writing my dissertation.

M. Brooke R.

Utah State, University of Georgia

Tutor for Statistics, SPSS and Research Methodology in Education and the Social Sciences

My favorite thing about tutoring statistics is watching students become less apprehensive and more competent as they "catch on" and learn. I start by finding out how each student learns best and what they hope to accomplish in the session(s). My tutoring successes include: 1. Helping a doctoral student to pass her final statistics course before taking her qualifying exams. 2. Seeing three students graduate after successfully passing their statistics courses because of my help. 3. Helping multiple graduate, undergraduate, and high school students to succeed in their statistics classes. Comments about my help include: "I appreciate how positive and encouraging Brooke is with my son. She's very patient with him as well. And her notes after the session are always informative and helpful. We're so lucky to have found Brooke. She's perfect for working with my son and that says a lot." "Amazing and I feel so much better and relieved. My only regret is that I didn't find her sooner! " "She is Phenomenal. Sadly the app did not cooperate, and the session did not occur. It wasn't her fault. " If possible I like to know in advance what a student wants to cover so I can better prepare. If they are needing help in a statistics course, getting a syllabus is helpful to me as well. If I feel I can’t help a student I will let them know right away, and, of course, do not charge for the session. I am familiar with many types of analysis software, but I prefer to tutor using SPSS, R (through R Commander), G*Power, JASP, JAMOVI or EXCEL. I can also assist with learning these software packages.
