Divya B.
University of British Columbia
Expert Math, Statistics, Physics & Chemistry Tutor | 8+ Years Experience I 5 star rating on Superprof
I hold a Master’s degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and have a strong academic background in STEM, with over 8 years of tutoring and teaching experience. I specialize in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Statistics, and have worked with high school and university students at a wide range of levels. Over the years, I have helped students prepare for exams, work through assignments, strengthen their foundations, and develop effective problem-solving skills. I focus on making challenging concepts clear and approachable by breaking them down into simple, manageable steps. My teaching approach is highly personalized. I adapt each lesson to the student’s individual learning style, goals, and level of understanding. Rather than simply providing answers, I focus on explaining the reasoning behind each concept so that students develop the confidence and skills to solve problems independently. I have also built an established tutoring track record on Superprof, with reviews from students I have worked with over the years. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging material. Whether you are preparing for an important exam, struggling with a particular topic, or looking to strengthen your STEM foundation, I would be happy to help you reach your academic goals.

Bret K.
University of British Columbia
Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics Tutor | Problem-Based Learning, Quizzes & Personalized Feedback
Growing Passion. Building Experience. Thinking Relatable. Hi, I’m Bret, founder of PHYSiMATICS International Academy. I hold an Honours B.Sc. in Physics from the University of British Columbia and have experience as a university Physics Laboratory Instructor and Math & Science Tutor. I specialize in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Statistics, helping students develop the understanding and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in challenging STEM courses. How I teach My approach is problem-driven. We begin with carefully selected examples, identify the underlying concepts, and develop a clear, repeatable method for solving similar problems. You learn not only how to reach an answer, but how to recognize which method to use and why it works. Tutorials may include visualizations, worked examples, step-by-step problem-solving strategies, reinforcement questions, and quizzes with individualized feedback. I use your course syllabus and learning goals to identify priorities and build a structured Plan of Action. My goal is to help you become a more confident, independent problem solver while making difficult concepts easier to understand and apply. Subjects Calculus, Linear Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Algebra, Physics, Statistics, Statics, Dynamics, Structural Analysis, and related STEM subjects. Whether you need help with a particular topic, exam preparation, or ongoing support across several courses, I can help you organize your learning and make steady progress. Send me your course, the topics you are studying, and what you would like to achieve. We can arrange a free introductory discussion through TutorOcean to review your goals and determine an appropriate learning plan. I look forward to helping you make progress in your studies!
