PhD Organic Chemist | Award-Winning University Educator

I am a PhD organic chemist and award-winning university educator with 7+ years of chemistry teaching experience at Simon Fraser University and the University of Alberta. I hold two MSc degrees in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology with extensive experience in university teaching and scientific research, as well as industry experience. Teaching is something I genuinely love, and my students often feel that enthusiasm in the way I teach. I create a friendly, relaxed, and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult topics. My goal is to make chemistry clear, logical, and enjoyable. Instead of relying on memorization, I help students understand what is actually happening and why, so the ideas connect and begin to make sense. As their understanding grows, so does their confidence, and students often finish our sessions feeling much more comfortable and capable in chemistry.
