Doctor of Physical Therapy Student & Summa Cum Laude Kinesiology Graduate | Anatomy, Physiology, Neuroscience & Biology Tutor
Hi, I’m Nicholas, a current Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Old Dominion University. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Christopher Newport University with a 3.96 GPA, graduating summa cum laude. I offer tutoring in anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, biology, and related health-science subjects for high school, college, and pre-health students. My background includes more than one year of experience as a physical therapy technician and an eight-week outpatient orthopedic clinical rotation. In these settings, I guided therapeutic exercise, provided patient education, assisted with range-of-motion and strength testing, and connected anatomy and physiology to practical clinical situations under licensed physical therapist supervision. During tutoring sessions, I break complicated material into manageable steps using diagrams, clinical examples, guided questions, active recall, and practice problems. Rather than memorizing disconnected facts, students learn how structures, functions, and biological processes relate to one another. Students are welcome to bring lecture slides, study guides, assignments, or difficult topics so we can create a focused plan around their individual goals.

TESOL Certified Tutor With 5 Years Experience
I am very passionate about teaching, I started teaching in year 2012, and since then I gained over 5 years of teaching experience. I have taught students ranging from ages 3 to 30 in various areas of study including English, Math, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental science and Human Anatomy. Besides teaching in a classroom, I have also taught at educational camps and through online tutoring. At educational camps I was entrusted with the responsibility of writing and arranging school curriculum for students ages 3 to 17 years old. At schools I had the responsibilities of setting examinations and other student related evaluations for a given term. Being a part of a school’s administrative team, have expanded my knowledge on the objectives necessary for students to achieve those objectives. I traveled to china in September of 2017 and studied Chinese (Mandarin) for two years, one year at Shandong University and the other at Huazhong University of Science and Technology after which I obtained a level 4 HSK Certificate in Chinese language Proficiency. Prior coming to China, I studied at the St. George’s University in Grenada where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biology. I have also completed a 120-hour TESOL certificate course.
