I have a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in science from Northern Arizona University. I spent the first three years of my teaching career as an outdoor/environmental science instructor, teaching a wide range of age groups in New Hampshire, Hawaii, and California. I then dove into the classroom and stayed there for 13 years. Over that time, I was fortunate enough to experience various cultures, subjects and age groups. The locations I taught in included Arizona, Ecuador, Venezuela, Utah and Mexico. The first 6 years I taught all subjects to 2nd, 4th, and 5th graders. The ladder part of my career was dedicated to teaching middle school science and math. During that time I also had several side tutoring jobs helping those students that could benefit from some extra attention. After COVID helped me realize my superpower is teaching math online I now do that full time and absolutely love it!
