I teach introductory English to kids who are studying ESL!

I have been working with kids who are studying English as a second language for 2 years, and I love it! As an online tutor, I've had the opportunity to work with children from all over Japan and South Korea, and now I want to expand my services. If you or your child needs help learning the basics of English, I would be happy to assist! When I work with kids, I use puppets to keep them engaged. In my experience, they think puppets are hilarious, and if I add a silly voice, they can't help but pay attention! This is extremely helpful for their learning processes because enthusiastic attention is such an important part of learning anything. While we joke together, they often barely notice how much they're learning about nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and grammar in general. Furthermore, it's much easier for them to remember new words when they feel entertained! So, would you like some help? Please feel welcome to contact me, and I'll respond as soon as possible!

TEFL certified English teacher l >2 years experience

I am Sapokazi from Cape town, South Africa. I'm a POST GRAD candidate in Accounting. I have online teaching experience and I am TEFL certified. During my lessons, I am more of a tutor, and I try to help students understand the day's content. My teaching methodology describes my teaching style as interactive and participative. I always encourage my students to ask questions and participate in all conversations during the lesson. I interact with and respond to student messages in a timely manner, and during their trials, I assess and analyze their needs so that I can fully assist them in attaining their end-goal. I prepare a document to assist them with the upcoming lessons and have it sent to them prior to the lesson so that they are acquainted with the content of the lesson. During the class, I also show them on the 'live share screen' so that they can interact with the lesson. In addition to that, I offer lessons for conversations and interviews or any other purpose.

Emory University

Emory grad with over 12 years experience tutoring Math, Science, English, Foreign Language, and Test Prep

As an avid learner, I always encourage learning in others. I have been tutoring since 2011. In that time, I have helped over 200 students of all ages prepare for over 50 subjects, standardized tests (ACT, SAT, ISEE, SSAT, GRE, GMAT), and foreign languages (Latin, Arabic, Spanish). I began tutoring professionally in my Sophomore year at Emory as a class aide and then branched out to tutoring privately, which I have been doing ever since. On average, my students see 10-15% increases in their scores within 4-8 regular sessions, and some students have seen as high as 30% increases. I tutor not only the content by essential test-taking strategy geared towards each test to make sure students are making the most out of their time. I possess a wealth of knowledge in many areas, but one of the things that I find fun about learning is seeing how subjects connect to the real world. This is one of my greatest strengths as a tutor as I show students the different ways in which their studies connect to the world, their ambitions, and interests.

Dedicated Tutor Committed to Continuous Learning: Embracing the Educational Journey as an Instructor

I'm Fadi. Currently a fourth year Mechanical Engineering Student at the Lebanese University faculty of engineering. I am new at TutorOcean but have an experience in teaching so do not hesitate to reach out for me if you need any help in Mechanical Engineering Subjects/Maths/Physics/Sat. throughout my college experience I have learned to appreciate the intricacies of math. And well it's difficult. There may be an easy away around it to the solution, or a nice and simple method for solving every problem. But it's not obvious. Especially if it's not taught to you. Not to say teachers do a bad job, but there's so many students. All with different interests in teaching style. One on one helps a ton, but I go beyond and hone into your needed way of tutoring, giving out step by step procedures. Or working through multiple problems until you understand them. Everyone has their own method and that is what I see as my greatest strength. Using your strengths for both of our benefit. Whether you need help on homework or need to study for a test I am happy to help!
