My name is Dr. Danisha T. I am deeply passionate about assisting graduate students in their writing journey. My extensive experience in academic writing, from capstone to dissertation to discussion posts and literature reviews, has made the writing process enjoyable for me and resulted in over 99% of my papers receiving A's. This wealth of experience instills confidence in my ability to guide and support you in your academic writing endeavors. I edited and proofread all my group projects in grad school. My classmates were impressed that I could combine multiple writing styles and create a singular paper with one voice. One of the challenges many students face is creating work that reflects their voice and having a personal writing process. Understanding the challenges and the right approach for the dissertation project can be daunting. However, I believe my personal experiences and the assistance I've provided to others during this arduous process can be of great help. I understand the struggles and can provide the support and guidance you need to write your academic papers. I have a master's degree in psychology from Walden University, focusing on crisis management and response. I also have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Walden University with close to 3000 hours of clinical practice. I'm also a registered nurse (MSN, BSN) with 20 years of experience in psychology/psychiatry, critical care, and management. Also, I have over a decade of writing, editing, and proofreading experience. I have written research papers, a capstone, and a dissertation; thus, I understand the challenges of picking a topic and finding the gap. Having been in your shoes, I can assure you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. You can reach your academic and professional goals with hard work, dedication, and guidance. I am here to support you, and I am confident that you will succeed. So, reach out to me now, and let's navigate your journey through grad school together!

I completed a Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) at the University of Sydney with a GPA of 6.95 out of 7. I completed my year 12 studies in 2019 with an ATAR of 97.35. I have been a tutor for 4 years now. This began at the end of year 11 after completing mathematics a year early. Since then, I have tutored a very wide range of students, including primary school students, high school students, HSC students, GAMSAT students, and undergraduate science students through my role as a casual academic at the University of Sydney. School tutoring ($70/hour): For school students, I offer tutoring on a range of science and math subjects. I have had experience tutoring students from year 2 students with learning difficulties all the way up to high-performing extension mathematics students in year 12. I only offer tutoring services on the subjects that I am confident in, performed well in myself, and that I am up to date on the current syllabus and content. These include: - High School Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics - Primary School Mathematics and Science University/Medicine applicants ($80/hour): For university students and prospective medical students, I offer a range of services and can adapt to your specific needs. Key Words: Discrete Math, Discrete Mathematics, Proofs, Pre-Calc, Pre-Calculus, PreCalc, PreCalculus, Calc or Calculus, Alg or Algebra, Trig or Trigonometry, Geometry, College Math, College Mathematics, Quantitative Reasoning, high school math or mathematics, Common Core, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade I tutor students in College/University & K-12 and have 5+ yrs of experience as an online/remote Tutor. I specialize in undergraduate Math, but also frequently tutor Physics, Economics, Taxation, and English/Writing. I love Math & always hope that my enthusiasm/encouragement can help students, whether they are looking to progress in Math or just complete their required courses. I have found that all students will hit a group of Mathematical concepts that just do not click, whether it is early in K-12 or not until 3rd-4th year university level Math. It can be very frustrating, especially when it is difficult or even impossible to obtain the necessary help from teachers, campus tutors, etc. The primary goal of hiring a tutor is to receive individualized assistance & a customized approach. That is why I tailor my explanations to each student's learning style. For instance, some students prefer that I look over their work & just give them hints when they get stuck. Other students prefer to provide me with specific questions they are stuck on, & have me show them as a tutorial. I particularly try to focus on the underlying concepts & provide the student with context as to how each concept matters. Far too often, students are told to do things a certain way, but they are not told why nor even how it pertains overall. I have a BS in Mathematics from Stockton University. During college, I developed study groups in Partial Diff Eq, Engineering Graphics, & Adv Discrete Math. I was also Treasurer of Stockton's Math Club, which focused primarily on assisting local students & hosted an annual Math Mayhem competition between 12 N.J. High Schools.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science at UCLA and have a strong background in English, History, and Japanese. I am also proficient in K-8 math and science and have previous tutoring experience in these subjects. My experience includes both one-on-one and classroom settings, as well as volunteer experience. In English, I have a deep passion for language and literature, and I am fully proficient in both written and spoken English. I have completed two semester-long research projects that required me to analyze and synthesize complex texts and communicate my findings effectively in writing and speech. My skills in critical thinking and analysis, combined with my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, make me an effective tutor for students of all levels. In History, I have been nominated for an award by my high school teacher for my exceptional performance and passion for the subject. I have experience creating engaging presentations on historical topics and enjoy exploring different cultures and time periods through the lens of history. As a tutor, I can help students improve their research skills, develop a deeper understanding of historical events, and prepare for exams with confidence. In Japanese, my experience attending Japanese heritage schools for 10 years, tutoring students in Japanese language during Japanese club, and being fully proficient in hiragana, katakana, and kanji has given me a deep appreciation for the intricacies of Japanese language and culture. As a tutor, I can help students master the basics of Japanese language, develop cultural competency, and gain a greater appreciation for the rich history and traditions of Japan. Overall, my combination of educational background, previous tutoring/teaching experience, and contextual details such as the ages of students and the setting of my teaching experience make me an ideal candidate for tutoring in English, History, and Japanese, as well as K-8 math and science.

Hi! I'm Katie, and I teach psychology, biology, and neuroscience here on TutorOcean and Upwork. I offer free 15 minute sessions if you want to try me out. Where did you go to school? I'm getting my master's in psychology at Georgia Southern with an experimental focus (GPA= 3.9). My undergrad is from Georgia State University, where I received a B.S in Psychology and a minor in neuroscience (GPA =3.9). Do you have any teaching experience? Currently at Georgia Southern, I teach a biomechanical analysis of movement lab course. The course is a bit outside my major, but the lab is mostly teaching students how to use excel to make graphs, something I had experience with from my undergrad stats classes. I have also shadowed a introductory psychology class at Georgia southern, where I helped run study sessions before every exam, and assisted the professor in class with student questions, assignment handouts, and classroom management. When I was at Georgia State, I was a an SI Leader, which is a type of undergrad TA for courses with a higher than average fail rate. I ran twice a week additional lecture sections for Introductory Biology students for two semesters. Wait, you said neuroscience? Psychology is my major, so it is what I am most qualified for, but I have taken 15 credit hours of neuroscience classes at Georgia State to get my minor in neuroscience. I cannot tutor you on higher level neuroscience classes, but intro to neuroscience, principles of neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience and drugs and behavior are courses I am qualified to teach. What psychology courses can you teach? The full list is below (As I could not fit them all here), but most common psychology undergrad classes. What about biology? I would only feel qualified to teach AP Biology or freshmen introductory biology. I took 5 biology classes in undergrad, but I'm not an expert by any means.

Hi! My name is Sagar and I am a rising senior at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and I am majoring in Biology, with double minors for Mathematics and Chemistry. My career aspiration is to become a surgeon and currently have an interest in the following specialties: orthopedics, cardiology, and neurosurgery. In order to ensure trust and credibility, I attended STEM Early College at NC A&T State University, an high school where I finished the main high school courses during my first two years and took a wide variety of college courses at NC A&T State University. Therefore, I feel that I may be able to provide my maximal assistance due to the subject knowledge being relatively fresh in my mind and am always looking forward to helping others with the knowledge I have in any way possible. Based on my experiences in high school and the college courses I have taken, I realized that I performed well whenever I felt passionate about what I was learning, it was due to the teachers and professors that inspired me. During my time at high school, including my interactions with peers and friends, I have tutored individually students for AP Calculus AB and BC, many different courses in Biology (ranging from the introduction level to advanced cell biology, evolution and genetics), Human Anatomy and Physiology (College-Level), Honors Chemistry, General Chemistry (College-Level), Organic Chemistry (College-Level), Analytical Chemistry (College-Level) and Physics (College-Level). I would often create study guides and shortened versions of complex material in order to help anyone understand any concept since I believe that bending knowledge in a way that makes sense to you is vital for success. I am really passionate about helping others succeed, truly enjoy the knowledge they are learning, and structure it in a fun way for all individuals.
