I am learning enthusiast who is passionate about tutoring subjects (Biology & Math) I love.

I am a first-year student at the University of Melbourne who has a passion for the field of STEM. While in high school, I offered tuition to my peers that needed help. My services included aid with the full comprehension of a subject and revision for test and exams. I also shared my personal tried and tested tips such as flashcards, mind maps, summary notes, past papers and more. I have experience in high school (IGCSE & A-Level) Biology & Math, TOEFL Prep, and University applications (personal statements, scholarship applications, etc).

Looking for Help? Friendly Science Lover, with an Artistic Background!

I've been through all STEM courses in high school bar biology, and I love to teach kids! I graduated from an arts high school, so I am also able to teach music! I have plenty of experience with kids from grade 1-12, teaching swimming and boating at summer camps, but I'm new to the tutoring game. I'm great with kids that need a little encouragement, and I'm very patient. If you'd Like, I can give you a taste of what you're getting with a 30 minute session, on me.

23 year-old graduate with a masters in Chemistry & Physics and 400 hours of one-to-one tutoring experience.

Hi there! I'm a 23 year-old graduate with a 1st Class Masters in Chemistry & Physics, with hundreds of hours experience in tutoring. Having had students from London to Sydney, Zurich to Singapore, and Geneve to Shenzen, I can rely on 4 years of experience and up-to-date knowledge of exam specifications to provide pupils with a tailored education. Why I Chose STEM Science is the future. STEM qualifications open the door to new career opportunities and could lead to a job in a decade which doesn't even exist today. My Approach to Tutoring Science The bigger picture should come before the details. Time spent trying to build on weak foundations is wasted; one is better served looking at the underlying science. A student can fill in any gaps later. An issue with classroom learning is the one-size-fits-all approach. A method for connecting the dots which works for one person might not for the next; teachers simply don't have time to discuss a concept from various angles. For me, a multi-faceted approach is the best way to build a concrete understanding. Learn how to go about tackling new problems. While there's no substitute for practice, the approach is key. Don't panic - new problems are far less daunting once broken into steps. Remember, exams generally ask you to 'jump through hoops' - there are only so many questions they can serve up! With some work, public examinations won't seem such a headache.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a minor in Chemistry. I am currently volunteering in South Africa!

~ To all NEW students - First half-hour session is FREE! ~ I have previous experience tutoring Introduction to Neuroscience and Introduction to Chemistry. I am currently applying to medical school while I am volunteering in South Africa, and I took the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) in September 2022 (scored a 509). I took many STEM classes both as an undergraduate pre-medical student and reviewed these subjects in preparation for the MCAT. I look forward to being able to tutor others online while I volunteer in underserved communities in South Africa! As I am planning to attend medical school next year, I have been extensively reviewing science and look forward to helping others succeed in these classes as well!

Neuroscience graduate with dual minors in Biology and Chemistry!

I have a B.Sc. in Neuroscience and Mental Health from Carleton University, Ontario, Canada, with dual minors in Biology and Chemistry. I graduated with the Faculty of Science University Medal, meaning I had the highest graduating GPA in the Faculty of Science. I worked during my entire university career in neuroscience labs dedicated to neurodegenerative disease (such as Parkinson's disease and ALS) and received multiple research awards. I was also selected for a prestigious internship at University of Toronto. I have extensive knowledge and passion for neuroscience and the adjacent sciences, but I also have a great deal of hands-on experience in the lab applying neuroscientific techniques. This gives me a foundation beyond classroom knowledge. I previously taught virtual STEM classes to students aged 10-18, so I am very comfortable with virtual tutoring.

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO

I believe that when it comes to grasping difficult concepts notably in physics and mathematics, there are multiple ways to make it look elementary, the learning process becomes much easier.

I'm currently pursuing my graduate degree in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry from the University of Toronto. I completed my Bachelors of Technology in Chemical Engineering from VIT University, India. Throughout my undergrad, I have been a core and later on a board member of AIChE, during which I have participated in quite a few K-12 events that involved going to schools around my university and teaching STEM subjects to the students there. Though, I have a number of favorite subjects, Maths, English, Physics and History are among the ones I feel most confident about mainly because these have been favorites since school. I believe that when it comes to grasping difficult concepts notably in physics and mathematics, there are multiple ways to make it look elementary, then the learning process becomes much easier and faster. In my opinion, with the world advancing at a rapid rate, the importance of education is clearly very evident and so is the act of gaining and imparting knowledge as it allows us to comprehend and question all that is happening around us. I try to utilize my free time by watching anime, reading some fiction and listening to true crime podcasts.
