Cornell University
Hello, I have a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University. I have been tutoring math and algebra for 7 years in person and online, and a I have a student tutoring rating of 4.8 in Prealgebra and Algebra . I also do math remedial work with grade levels 6-11. I specialize in a diagnostic process that identifies areas where students have gaps in ability and blockages that need work. I get great results with this proven strategy, because we take the time to correct the missing gaps and create confidence. Students' progress is often spectacular: "Richard has brought good focus to my son's tutoring sessions. It also has taken a good deal of pressure off of myself to attempt to relearn material that I haven't seen in 25 years. It has been a very good decision to get my son on a consistent program with Richard." Dan, West Palm Beach, Florida

Sheridan College, Christ the King Catholic Secondary School
Hello students! My name is Tanya Fisher, and I have grown up loving math as I became very skilled at algebra, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, and basic mathematics. I have recently graduated from Sheridan College with an advanced diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology, where I took a variety of different math courses that I had a big passion for that helped me achieve success. My goal is to help students who have a difficulty understanding algebra and other fundamentals of math, as well as guide them to future success in the subject. Currently, I am only available for a limited number of tutoring sessions as I am also seeking a full time job, but I always encourage any students to reach out if they have any questions! Since I am a new tutor to this platform, I am accepting any students and will give free consultations to see if we are a good fit!

INSA - National Institute of Applied Science
Hello! My name is Anna, and I am 27 years old. I am a French graduate in chemical engineering from INSA Rouen in France, with additional semesters at Chimie Lille and UNAL Bogota. Currently, I work with an NGO supporting youth at risk of dropping out of school. With several years of experience in private tutoring, I specialize in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for middle school and high school students. I have a strong background in group sessions and offline tutoring; however, I now offer only online classes due to my frequent travels. I primarily provide tutoring for French students, as I am well-versed in the French academic program and the types of exams they face. My teaching approach is rooted in patience and understanding, and I am passionate about helping my students overcome their academic challenges. I conduct online sessions via Skype and WhatsApp, allowing you to learn from anywhere. Feel free to contact me via email for any questions or to schedule a free introductory session. I would be delighted to assist you in achieving your academic goals! Have a great day!

University of Kansas
I’m A.J.! I am a senior in chemical engineering at the University of Kansas and I will be graduating spring 2025. In addition, I have taken and excelled in college classes like calculus, organic chemistry, and fluid mechanics to name a few. In high school, I graduated with sigma cum Laude honors and had a 3.9 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I graduated in the top 10% of my class. Also, I scored 5’s on my AP calc AB, AP micro, and AP macro exams. I have had years of previous tutoring experience on tutor.com. On that platform I tutored mainly algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. My approach to tutoring is simple and easy. I must say, many students enjoy my approach because it makes the answer very apparent to them. My method is to break the problem down and solve parts of the problem. Then put these parts together like an easy four piece puzzle. I ask questions to check the understanding of the student so that I know where to start. This is because math often requires you to understand many small concepts in order to solve a problem. I have previously tutored students ranging in ages from late elementary to college. Most of my sessions have been one on one. With a mix of online and in-person depending on the student’s preferences. I always have enjoyed helping students and nothing compares to when a student has that ah ha moment. Lastly, I’m always open to suggestions or feedback from students or parents regarding my tutoring.
