1-to-1 Academic Business English Tutoring with CELTA Certified U.S. Native English Teacher(Currently Based in Thailand!!^^)

Hello!! My name is Scott Neumann and I'm currently living in Bangkok, Thailand! I'm from Washington, D.C., USA and I have been teaching English to students from around the world for almost 30 years! I’ve taught students of all ages one-to-one, in small group, and in traditional classroom settings in the U.S., Spain, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand. I began teaching English as foreign/second language when I was an exchange student at the Spanish University of Valencia in the early 1990's. I later taught English in the New York City public schools at the elementary and secondary levels. After finishing an MA in Photography and Mass Media Studies, I decided to live abroad and teach English in South Korea. For nearly twenty years I taught English at the primary, secondary, and tertiary(university)levels, as well as senior citizens, privately and in schools and universities. During this time, I was also able to teach and live in Fukuoka and Okinawa Japan, as well as in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand. All of these living/learning/teaching experiences have impressed upon me the importance of maintaining a dynamic yet comfortable learning environment. I firmly believe that as long as students are feeling relaxed, comfortable, and enjoying themselves, there will be no limit to what they can learn. Learning a language is so much more than simply learning another skill. It is a process of becoming a slightly different version of yourself, as you explore new worlds unlocked through your growing capacity to connect with people and cultures through use of another language. The world is vast and wondrous. Let me help you improve, not only your grasp of English, but also your capacity to express yourself, develop new ideas, understand other people, cultures, and points of view that may be very different from your own. Let's get after it together--the world's waiting to hear what you have to say!

Experienced K-12 Tutor

Hello! I'm a reliable, energetic, and studious college student with approximately 3 years of paid experience with tutoring kids and teens K-12 and a lifelong experience of caring for children of all ages. I've worked with kids through several avenues, from formally tutoring at middle schools to initiating my own kid-centered programs that centers on political education and community building. Within the specialties that I've listed, I have earned an A- or higher on that subject and had tutored in with personalized study plans I've created. strive to equip every child that I come across with the tools to navigate through the world successfully and to lovingly push them towards their greatest potential. I previously worked at a middle school, where I tutored struggling, average, and advanced students in Literacy/ELA. We typically choose which format of media that the student prefers (i.e. ebook, article, etc.), read the text fully, and enter back into the text to dissect its writing format, grammar usage, vocabulary words, and more depending on the student's area of understanding. Usually I'll have the student undergo a diagnostic test I have designed to evaluate where they are in their learning so that I can properly asses and make use of their valuable time. I prepare lesson plans to meet goals identified in students' individualized study plans and maintain detailed files that track students learning progress.

Economist & Finance Expert (Master's Degree + CPA) with 6 years experience helping others succeed

Hey there! I am a qualified public accountant, having completed all the papers in CPA. In addition, I am an economics and statistics graduate (first-class honors) and I am on my way to completion of my master degree. I am finalizing the research project for my master degree as I have already completed the coursework. Since 2015, I have been working as an online tutor and academic writer on various platforms. During that period, I have worked with a great number of students whom I have helped in their entire coursework till their graduation. I am keen on plagiarism since I understand its ramifications. As a result, I have always submitted papers with zero plagiarism. I have interacted with almost all the referencing styles, just to mention APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago, IEEE, Vancouver, et al. I am also good at time management and I have never submitted a paper past its deadline.

Medalist & University Valedictorian, Bioscience & English Enthusiast with a Passion for Teaching

My graduation in Biosciences, due to the multi-disciplinary nature of the program, has allowed me to gain in-depth knowledge about the various fields of science From my own experience as a student, I have come to understand the positive impact of a relaxed and interactive learning environment on a student. As a tutor, my aim is always to establish trust amongst students that their thoughts and concerns will be addressed without any judgement or bias. This in turn helps to manage their behavior and keep them engaged during lessons. Additionally, having English as the central language throughout my education has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in both spoken and written English.
