I’m Adrian, a Biomedical Engineering grad (Dec ’25) who tutors math, physics, and general chemistry. I’m patient, practical, and great at turning confusing steps into simple, repeatable methods.

I help students build real understanding—not just memorize steps. I explain math, physics, and chemistry concepts clearly and relate them to real-world examples from engineering. Whether it’s algebra, forces, or chemical reactions, I break problems down step by step and show patterns that make future topics easier. I’m patient, reliable, and focused on helping students gain confidence and raise their grades.

Mathematics, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering Tutor

Hello! I'm Suheila, a mathematics and chemistry tutor. I've been delivering tutoring for individual and group instruction for 5 years ranging from K1 - K12 math lessons (Arithmetic, Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Precalculus) to university-level courses (Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Differential Equations). I am also familiar with chemical reaction engineering (kinetics and reactor design), and general, analytical, organic, and physical chemistry. For engineering subjects, I enjoy going through unit operations (separation and transport processes) To get a quick view of my process/teaching style, for online lessons, I usually start by gathering information on the syllabus, required textbooks, and current topics. From there, we could work on which areas you would like help in through concepts, lots of practice examples, and solved problems from your textbook.

Experienced Math Tutor

I have been tutoring students in math for over 20 years. Before tutoring, I worked as a Computer Software Engineer for 10 years, then stopped to raise my son. I helped him and his friends in math as he progressed through school. For those of you considering a career change, you might find it interesting to know that I had several careers and have several non-related degrees. After completing my first BS degree in Elementary Education, I worked for 5 years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative then quit. I returned to school to get a second BS degree in Mechanical Engineering then worked as a Computer Software Engineer for 10 years. When my son was born, I stopped working and completed my MS degree in Industrial Engineering. I helped (tutored) my son and his friends through elementary, middle, and high school. My son is now a Computer Software Engineer and I still tutor students in math. To sharpen my math skills, I returned to college to re-take math courses I had taken previously. I took advantage of free classes offered to senior citizens. I was always the oldest person in the class and also one of the top students! I took advanced math classes -- Calculus 1, 2, 3, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. After taking these courses I wrote several math books, available on Amazon. Now, I tutor students in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and college algebra. I teach a little Calculus, but I like to be 10 steps ahead of my students. Math has become an enjoyable hobby for me. I enjoy tutoring students in math and writing math books.

Computer Science Graduate with 10 Years of Experience Teaching Math from Middle School Through College Calculus

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and have been tutoring students for over 10 years. Throughout my college education, I consistently earned A’s in all of my college-level calculus courses, and I have developed a strong foundation across mathematics from elementary and middle school concepts through college calculus. Beyond mathematics, my background in Computer Science has allowed me to teach programming languages including Python and Java, as well as help students develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills. I take pride in being patient, thorough, and attentive to each student’s individual needs. I believe that a strong tutor should do more than provide answers—I aim to help students understand the reasoning behind each concept so they become confident and independent learners. I am bilingual in English and Korean and enjoy working with students from a variety of academic and cultural backgrounds. Whether a student needs to strengthen their fundamentals, prepare for a challenging course, or work toward mastering advanced material, I approach every lesson with professionalism and careful preparation.
