An experienced tutor and a chemical engineer by profession

During high school, Krishna enjoyed studying math, physics and chemistry. As a result, he decided to get B.S degrees in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from UC Irvine. He then received his M.S from UC Berkeley in Chemical Engineering with a focus in Product Development - a program designed to innovate a new product and bring it to the market through business processes. Krishna has over 5 years of tutoring/teaching experience, both one-on-one as well as in classroom settings with 30+ students. He started tutoring as early as his senior year in high school and has since taught at private organizations and at universities in California during his undergraduate and graduate educational career. Specific courses he has taught include Geometry, Algebra I & II, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, SAT Math and ACT Math & Science. He has also done online tutoring and created online chemistry course content for a learning organization. Krishna likes teaching because he gets a chance to learn about different perspectives and different students’ approaches to learning. During his free time, he likes playing tennis, ping pong and exploring new foods and restaurants.

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO

I believe that when it comes to grasping difficult concepts notably in physics and mathematics, there are multiple ways to make it look elementary, the learning process becomes much easier.

I'm currently pursuing my graduate degree in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry from the University of Toronto. I completed my Bachelors of Technology in Chemical Engineering from VIT University, India. Throughout my undergrad, I have been a core and later on a board member of AIChE, during which I have participated in quite a few K-12 events that involved going to schools around my university and teaching STEM subjects to the students there. Though, I have a number of favorite subjects, Maths, English, Physics and History are among the ones I feel most confident about mainly because these have been favorites since school. I believe that when it comes to grasping difficult concepts notably in physics and mathematics, there are multiple ways to make it look elementary, then the learning process becomes much easier and faster. In my opinion, with the world advancing at a rapid rate, the importance of education is clearly very evident and so is the act of gaining and imparting knowledge as it allows us to comprehend and question all that is happening around us. I try to utilize my free time by watching anime, reading some fiction and listening to true crime podcasts.
