Hi there, I am a former teacher with 5 years total of classroom experience, with roles as an elementary school teacher, teacher intern, and tutor (elementary and college tutor). I currently work as a contracted elementary school tutor in Florida. My ultimate goal as a tutor is to meet students where they are and supplement the hard work they are already doing in the classroom through building relationships, understanding student goals, and customizing tutoring sessions for the needs of my students. As an elementary school teacher, I was able to gain hands on experience with differentiating lessons to meet my students' needs. Adapting the district’s given curricula to fit each student’s learning style and complement my classroom dynamic is a skill I have continued to hone as a tutor. Additionally, the professional development courses required as a teacher has bolstered my knowledge of research-based practices that I have been able to put to use as a teacher and tutor. Courses such as LETRS (a reading course designed to give educators a strong background in the science of reading) and other reading and math trainings geared to my district’s curricula have also been integral in shaping my teaching methods. My current role as a tutor has a focus on reading and math interventions for students on grade level and those who are below grade level. I do this in small groups to give students more individualized instruction, something I have done throughout my career as an educator. Though my teaching experience is mostly from elementary education, I have tutored at the college level and have amble experience working with higher-level writing assignments, including research papers, PowerPoint presentations, annotated bibliographies, etc. English is a subject I excelled in during high school and college, and my knowledge base has prepared me to help with reading and writing assignments for high school and middle school. Looking forward to working with you!

I have extensive expertise in preparing students for the LSAT, grounded in years of tutoring experience and a deep understanding of the exam’s structure, strategies, and reasoning patterns. Throughout my tutoring career, I have helped students achieve significant score improvements, including moving from the low 150s to the high 170s, consistently breaking through plateaus and reaching their goals. My approach is strategic, methodical, and personalized, emphasizing content mastery, analytical reasoning, and the timing and focus skills essential for success on test day. In Logical Reasoning, I teach students to systematically analyze arguments, identify premises, conclusions, and assumptions, and recognize common logical flaws and trap answer patterns. I help students develop a mental framework that allows them to approach questions efficiently and confidently, improving both accuracy and speed. For Reading Comprehension, I emphasize techniques for rapid understanding and retention of dense passages while maintaining accuracy. Students learn annotation strategies, active reading methods, and passage-mapping approaches that highlight structure, key arguments, and the author’s intent. This enables them to navigate even the most challenging passages and answer questions precisely. I also focus on timing and test-taking strategy, helping students manage pacing, minimize fatigue, and avoid careless mistakes under timed conditions. Through practice exams, targeted reviews, and strategic adjustments, I prepare students to perform consistently at their best. I also address the psychological aspects of test day, including stress management, focus, and confidence, which are critical for achieving top scores. Every student is unique, so I customize instruction to individual strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I provide structured study plans, curated practice materials, and detailed feedback designed to maximize improvement efficiently.

Hello, My name is Elijah, and I am a certified Math teacher from Kenya with over three years of experience guiding students through the fascinating world of Mathematics. I have worked with learners in both classroom environments and private tutoring sessions, helping them gain confidence and mastery in a subject often viewed as challenging. My mission is to simplify Math concepts, making them relatable and exciting while inspiring a love for numbers in my students. I believe Mathematics is more than just formulas and calculations—it’s a tool for understanding the world, solving problems, and thinking critically. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex topics into manageable parts, using real-life examples and interactive methods to ensure students not only understand but also enjoy the learning process. By creating a supportive and engaging environment, I aim to help students see Math as an exciting adventure rather than a hurdle. As a lifelong learner, I am working toward becoming a leading tutor in internationally based learning programs, where I can connect with students from diverse backgrounds and share my passion for Mathematics on a global scale. My ultimate goal is to help students unlock their potential, turning struggles into successes and fostering a deep appreciation for the subject. Outside the world of numbers, I enjoy playing chess and reading novels. These hobbies offer me tranquility and sharpen my analytical skills, both of which enhance my teaching techniques. If you’re ger to discover the beauty of Mathematics and achieve your goals, book a lesson with me. Together, we can unlock your full potential and turn Math into one of your greatest strength. I am currently pursuing an MSc in Supply Chain Management at EMLV while living in Paris. I specialize in teaching English with a focus on IELTS preparation and academic writing. Because I am an international student myself, I understand the practical pressure of hitting a specific score or meeting a tight deadline. My approach is grounded in what actually works in a university environment, not just textbook theory. What we can work on: IELTS Prep: We will focus on the specific logic and structure required to hit Band 7+, particularly in the Speaking and Writing sections. Academic & Business Writing: I use my creative writing background to help you polish essays, business reports, and assignments so they sound professional and flow naturally. Conversational English: Building the confidence to speak clearly in academic or professional settings. I keep my lessons straightforward and focused on results. I don’t use "fluff" or academic jargon; I provide the direct feedback you need to fix your errors and improve your score quickly. If you need a tutor who understands the reality of studying and working in an international environment, let’s get to work.
