SAT/ACT Tutor

After studying for the SAT for years (since the 8th grade), I have an extremely comprehensive experience with the exam and its questions. In my first attempt, I was able to score a 1460 and on the second, I raised that to a 1540 (99th percentile). After this, I felt very confident in my ability to share my knowledge and experiences in mastering the SAT. So, I decided to start tutoring my friends and other students at my local library. I directly worked with 3-4 students at a time and provided them with very useful tips and tricks to rapidly improve their math scores on the SAT. After seeing the improved results of the students I tutored, I became very passionate about tutoring SAT Test prep. In my tutoring lessons, I will start off by understanding students' baseline scores, their goals, and the areas that they wish to improve. During tutoring, I will explain online by going through official SAT Test Prep lesson plans and then go on to explicitly teach them the concepts necessary to answer questions on all sections of the SAT. Focusing on weaknesses and motivating students to continue practicing problems consistently is my specialty and it has gone to improve their SAT scores significantly. I will also provide several resources to find SAT test problems online and practice with real tests as well.

Current Math and Physics Teacher, Math Motivator, Confidence Builder, Contest Coach and Tutor

Hi, i'm Mr. Black, I am a mathematics and physics teacher, tutor and coach. I like to focus on my students individual goals no matter what they may be. We are all different and that is an important thing. Some of us want to pursue trades school, some want to study the cosmos, both are equally important. I will personally tailor lessons towards your specific goals and help you reach them. Maybe you only need help with homework. Or, you want to improve in mathematics and problem solving in general. Perhaps you are looking to enter a STEM program and want to get the best preparation possible. In our first meeting we will discuss your goals and each lesson will be curated to reach them. Mathematics is often confusing because people do not see the pattern. Once the pattern is found, the math is clear. I will help guide you towards seeing the patterns and understanding the mathematics so you do not feel like your learning a million different things. One of my skills that i've developed over the many years as a math educator is being able to diagnose the underlying problem by asking a few simple questions. Once it is clear what you are misunderstanding, I will provide a set of problems and questions which are designed meticulously to bring you from your level to the level you want to be. I like to remind my students that they are smart and creative and they can become better at math just like any other activity or sport; through practice. In this case, guided practice. I will be a coach, a teacher, a tutor, and at times perhaps a peer since my students surprise me all the time with their unique abilities. I want to show you that you can be good at math and it might just require a change of perspective on the subject. Math can be fun and engaging and isnt just a bunch of recipes and instructions. I have lots of experience building fun and creative problems, puzzles and games for math contests and K12 math. I hope to share my passion for math with you!

My greatest passion in life is teaching and tutoring. I was born and raised in Bloomington, IN, and experienced great success at school and at university due to amazing and unforgettable teachers. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be. I have been tutoring and teaching for 15 years in various settings – tutoring small and large groups, private individual tutoring, and teaching in rural, suburban, and urban classroom, online and home settings. That's will help students get the big picture before diving into the ocean!, I like teaching by examples or what's called problem-based teaching because it is the way by which all the scholars have got the knowledge we are studying now, and it is the right way by which to discover new knowledge. I am a professional in tutoring Math in general from basic level to Calculus and Linear Algebra, Statistics and Biostatistics. Previously, I worked as an adjunct professor of Biostatistics at Kean University, NJ, and as a tutor at Mathnasium Math learning Center in Guilford and Woodbridge, CT. As a third year math student, I believe that the mental processes and ways I learnt what I needed to learn to get to where I am are more important than understanding the material. I aim to help you understand the material you need help with while imparting my knowledge and habits into you so you do not need my help longer than you should!

Ready to get a really nice experience learning math? I have the solution!

I'm 26, I'm a very friendly person who likes teaching everyone and help other understanding math. I'm used to use a method of solving questions and pay attetion to the theory. In this sense, we can solve 99% of questions and exercises, only get information by this method. Of course we need to study the concept, in order to understand it. In fact, We will learn when we have some maturity in some concepts. In this way, I teach every student and they like it too much. I've taught students on several platforms, and I know how to identify the student's difficulty. Of course there's no recipe to learning math, but we can use a lot of strategies, in order to be better and better. My lemma is: The more you study (in the right way), the more you'll learn. If you need help learning math. please talk to me. Wish you the best.
