Hi! I'm a senior at UCLA and in my sixth year of full-time postsecondary education (I really like school). I'm going for my Bachelor's in Anthropology. I love tutoring and helping as many students as possible, no matter their age. I'm experienced with K-12 and college students. I'm a Debate teacher for kids age 8 and up, doing after-school and full-time summer camps, for which I independently plan the curriculum and lessons we cover. Besides for that, I'm a Writing tutor at a community college; I have one-on-one sessions with students, and I also attend beginner's English courses as an embedded tutor where I assist the teacher in the classroom (or Zoom room). We are now doing them REMOTELY, so I know how this works. In the past I volunteered with Reading Partners of Los Angeles, tutoring elementary school children from underserved communities. I was also captain of my college's Speech & Debate team and taught my teammates about the art of competitive debate. Prior to those, I managed several restaurants where a large part of my duties was to train crew members and develop new managers-- I did that for about 4 years. Plus, I was a camp counselor all throughout high school!

Hi! I'm Polina, a Digital Designer. I graduated with a degree in Audiovisual Communications from the Academy of Design and Arts in Kharkiv, Ukraine, 2 years ago. For the past 5 years, I've been working on various design platforms, gaining hands-on experience in graphic design, web design, motion design, animation, and 3D. In our lessons, we’ll start with the essentials that every designer needs: composition, color theory, typography, style, and the design process. From there, we’ll tailor a program based on your specific interests: Graphic Design: Master the art of creating logos, brand identities, mockups, and packaging. Web Design: Learn how to design stunning websites and dive into UI/UX principles. Animation & Motion Design: Create eye-catching motion graphics or even short cartoons. 3D Design: Build impressive 3D scenes to enhance your creative projects. We’ll be working with industry-standard tools like Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Blender to bring your vision to life. I can’t wait to start this creative journey with you! In our first lesson, we’ll discuss your goals and develop a personalized study plan. Let’s turn your passion for design into expertise!

13 years ago I started making small (honestly, kinda ugly) videogame prototypes with Blender. Now I've been teaching modeling and general 3D for three years and I can share my fascination with CGI and free software with everyone, from elementary school children, to professional programmers, to retired photographers. I believe in teaching not only the usage of the tools, but the theory of how they work, so that you can then understand new or unknown tools much easier and become self-sufficient. For that, we'll dive into some specifics of the mechanism that are working in the background while we build a series of projects and get out hands dirty. I believe the best way to internalize the knowledge is to practice, so I try to guide students towards small assignments that emphasize the techniques we learned while allowing for the creative expression that any art teaching should promote. That _is_ why we're here, after all.

Hello everyone, I'm Isabella from Italy! I'm graduated in Foreign Languages and I have a Master's degree in International Relations, too. My areas of specialization are Nordic Languages, English and Italian and during my university career I had the opportunity to improve my teaching skills. Moreover, I've practiced what I've learned, infact I've been a tutor for 7 years, helping many people with my native language (Italian) and pupils with English. My lessons are usually very diversified, because it all dipends on each student's needs. I can help them with grammar, vocabulary, writing, speaking, comprehension and translation, but in addiction to all this I can teach also many useful, interesting issues about literature, art, culture, history, geography, philology, current events and so on. According to me the best way to learn a language is to fully understand the many matters that revolve around it. No language is an island!
