In order to incorporate this ideology, I would ask the students what their ambition is and connect what they are learning to that ambition. In this way, the student will become more motivated to learn the material. I would ask how they learn best: visually, through listening or maybe something else. Lastly, I would be patient and engaging with the student in that I would continue to explain the concept until they understand, and I would create more creative methods of learning such as mnemonic devices.
