Writing has always been my passion, in every form it takes, and I've built my career around it: I currently work as an editorial assistant at a publishing company, where I write and edit content and review writer submissions every day. My teaching experience has grown out of both formal and informal settings. In college, I co-led TEDx, working one-on-one with student speakers from their very first draft all the way through their final delivery on stage, helping them find the core of what they wanted to say and shape it into something that actually sounded like them. I focus on college essay writing specifically, working with high school juniors and seniors on personal statements and supplemental essays, but the same approach applies to any writing, grammar, or vocabulary work: ask good questions, listen closely, and help the student find and sharpen their own voice rather than mine.
