Lecturer in Mathematics + PhD in it + 9 years of teaching experience, to HELP you in Mathematics and Statistics

I'm a lecturer in math in an engineering college in France. I'm also a specialist online tutor in mathematics. I received my PhD in mathematics from Rutgers University, USA , and held postdoc positions in reputed institutions in France (Ecole Polytechnique, INRIA) and USA (UCLA). I love to share my passion for mathematics, statistics and machine learning with my students, by means of tutoring, seminars, talks etc. Being an expert in the subject, I can teach/tutor any level - this means from precalculus to linear algebra, group theory, differential equations and many more! Besides mathematics, I also teach English as a second language (ESL). My specialties include: 1. My familiarity with all level of mathematics, thanks to my doctorate in the subject. 2. My teaching experience in large (roughly 30-40 students per class) and small (one to two students) group settings. 3. My effective visualization process with charts, diagrams, and tables to make things easy for the students. 4. I'm well equipped for tutoring online, as I've done it before and effectively. I've a graphics tablet where I can write and the writings appear on the screen, which can be shared with students. 6. I'm a specialist in motivating the students to learn a new concept, for example, negative numbers, group theory or functional analysis. I've worked in industry for 2 years, so I've seen a lot of these concepts being used in real life, so I can help motivate on why (s)he is learning a new concept.

Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics Tutor with 7 Years of Mentoring, Teaching & Tutoring Experience

Caring for students' needs and success since 2016. □ Brief summary: Being a national chemistry Olympiad silver & gold medallist at high school, I started my online tutoring career 6 years ago, and since then I've worked with over 5,000 individuals within all major areas of mathematics, chemistry and a few branches of physics (mainly kinematics and mechanics). My education involves a mixture of Lithuanian and British education which allowed me to come up with a hybrid of understanding theories from different perspectives and being able to choose the most efficient ways given these alternatives. □ Job experience: ➤ Chegg Tutors, Inc. (2016 – 2021): an online tutor for live and written lessons with a 99.2 % positive review rate with over 1,600 positive reviews ➤ Upswing.io (2018 – present): an online tutor for live sessions working with learning adults and youth with a 5/5 star rating ➤ Study.com (2020 – 2022): originally being a content writer for Q&A of science subjects with over 3,500 content pieces written, started working as a content reviewer later in a year with over 1,500 pieces of work reviewed ➤ Livingston Research (2020 – present): an online live and written tutor with a 4.98/5.00 rating working with a diversity of high school and college students, as well as adult learners, also a creator of a 2-hour online tutoring course for the company ➤ Pearson (2022 – Present): a video tutor. □ Teaching methods & techniques: I love aligning with my student's expectations, I generally differentiate between two teaching methods: full guidance & the Socratic method. While I could fully guide you through a particular problem set, either in a written or a live form, I could also offer you more unique ways if you are more interested in comprehension rather than completion of your work, just tell me your needs! Nonetheless, I love solving problems in a general scenario and finding relationships/deriving formulas that are sometimes not even given in textbooks.

Keep Calm and Get a Tutor

I am Swetha Raman. I am currently a junior pursuing computer engineering at NJIT. Myself being a college student I realize how important it is to have a good teacher. In college, the classes I appreciate the most are not just the subjects I am interested in but it also majorly depends on how enjoyable the professors make the classes. I will try my best to employ those strategies for my teaching. I truly love math. As long as I remember I have always loved math, found it fascinating, interesting and highly rewarding. I like sharing my passion for math with my ambitious students as much as I like math. I started teaching math to other students since I was in middle school. Throughout my academic career, I have always allowed a specific amount of time to help kids understand various concepts of math. I have more than 2 years of tutoring experience. I have taught elementary, middle as well as high school math. I tutored Prealgebra, Algebra 1 &2, Precalculus, calculus, and various other math subjects. I tutored not only in math but also in Computer Science. I want the students that work with me to benefit as much as possible. I would be more than welcome to accept any suggestions or study materials and resources provided by the student and the parents.

Experienced College & K-12 Tutor- Math, Physics, Economics, Science, & Writing

Key Words: Discrete Math, Discrete Mathematics, Proofs, Pre-Calc, Pre-Calculus, PreCalc, PreCalculus, Calc or Calculus, Alg or Algebra, Trig or Trigonometry, Geometry, College Math, College Mathematics, Quantitative Reasoning, high school math or mathematics, Common Core, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade I tutor students in College/University & K-12 and have 5+ yrs of experience as an online/remote Tutor. I specialize in undergraduate Math, but also frequently tutor Physics, Economics, Taxation, and English/Writing. I love Math & always hope that my enthusiasm/encouragement can help students, whether they are looking to progress in Math or just complete their required courses. I have found that all students will hit a group of Mathematical concepts that just do not click, whether it is early in K-12 or not until 3rd-4th year university level Math. It can be very frustrating, especially when it is difficult or even impossible to obtain the necessary help from teachers, campus tutors, etc. The primary goal of hiring a tutor is to receive individualized assistance & a customized approach. That is why I tailor my explanations to each student's learning style. For instance, some students prefer that I look over their work & just give them hints when they get stuck. Other students prefer to provide me with specific questions they are stuck on, & have me show them as a tutorial. I particularly try to focus on the underlying concepts & provide the student with context as to how each concept matters. Far too often, students are told to do things a certain way, but they are not told why nor even how it pertains overall. I have a BS in Mathematics from Stockton University. During college, I developed study groups in Partial Diff Eq, Engineering Graphics, & Adv Discrete Math. I was also Treasurer of Stockton's Math Club, which focused primarily on assisting local students & hosted an annual Math Mayhem competition between 12 N.J. High Schools.
