I have studied Latin and Greek for a number of years now and have acquired qualifications including a gcse and a self taught A level in Latin [OCR] as well as the NLE introduction to Latin exam. I am happy to teach adults and children from seven years up [I can teach up to four children within a family] . My aim is to help the learner get a firm grasp on the fundamental basics of the language, taking them through and helping them memorise the grammatical concepts, and providing , if the learner wishes, exercises to help with translating. A free introductory lesson is available in which I can give the learner an idea of how the lessons could be structured.

I am an educator who has worked with students in various settings for over twenty years. I have tutored students in both history and writing at the college and high school levels I specialize in preparing students to write excellent essays for their AP exams in US History, Art History, World History and European History. Over the last decade I have taught World, Latin American, and United States histories at local universities, as well as online classes at a global university. In addition, I have taught upper-level history and also writing classes as part of the general education curriculum. The curriculum for this class required instructing writing and research skills as well as encouraging the students to develop effective strategies for academic success. UNCC’s Office of Disability Services awarded me their Outstanding Faculty/Staff award for my efforts in the classroom that semester. At UNCC I completed a Teaching at the College and University Level class that expanded my pedagogical competence, especially taking into account various learning styles. At OU I completed a World History Colloquium that addressed various approaches to teaching a world history class. I believe that my knowledge and training will help you better understand historical concepts and write more proficiently.
