Experienced Math Tutor

I have been tutoring students in math for over 20 years. Before tutoring, I worked as a Computer Software Engineer for 10 years, then stopped to raise my son. I helped him and his friends in math as he progressed through school. For those of you considering a career change, you might find it interesting to know that I had several careers and have several non-related degrees. After completing my first BS degree in Elementary Education, I worked for 5 years as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative then quit. I returned to school to get a second BS degree in Mechanical Engineering then worked as a Computer Software Engineer for 10 years. When my son was born, I stopped working and completed my MS degree in Industrial Engineering. I helped (tutored) my son and his friends through elementary, middle, and high school. My son is now a Computer Software Engineer and I still tutor students in math. To sharpen my math skills, I returned to college to re-take math courses I had taken previously. I took advantage of free classes offered to senior citizens. I was always the oldest person in the class and also one of the top students! I took advanced math classes -- Calculus 1, 2, 3, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. After taking these courses I wrote several math books, available on Amazon. Now, I tutor students in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and college algebra. I teach a little Calculus, but I like to be 10 steps ahead of my students. Math has become an enjoyable hobby for me. I enjoy tutoring students in math and writing math books.

Subjects: Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, College Algebra, Geometry, IB Mathematics, Integrated Math 3, Intermediate Algebra, Math, Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Precalculus, SAT Mathematics, Trigonometry
