I have been licensed to teach math and English in public schools at the middle- and high-school levels and was a high school math teacher for seventeen years in Massachusetts. I have been working with young people as a teacher/mentor for over 10 years. During that time, I taught Algebra I, Algebra I for Repeaters, Pre-Algebra, Geometry and Algebra II. After I determine the gaps in the student's understanding, the concepts they missed in prior grades or lessons, I then work on closing those gaps so they gain the proper understanding of the math. I also make sure students build confidence by providing opportunities for them to experience success during each session!
