Knowledgeable and Passionate Health and Biological Sciences Tutor

Hi There! I'm a second year student in the PharmD program at the University of Toronto. My experience is mainly in the health related and biological sciences. I love to teach and help others understand topics they find difficult. I also find that in doing this I'm able to have a better understanding myself. The sciences can be difficult and confusing at times, but I've seen over and over that finding the right approach to learning (and a good teacher) can really make a difference! I have some prior experience tutoring through Queen's University's Indigenous Academics program during my time at the school. I've also volunteered during my high school years at a community centre where I taught elementary school age students in various subjects. Currently, I have a knowledge base that allows me to teach elementary, junior high and high school level sciences, as well as 1st and 2nd year university biological and health related sciences. These include: general science and biology, biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology.

Software Engineer looking to help tutor Math

Hi my name is Brent and I recently became a tutor on TutorOcean. I graduated with a Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo and Business degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and have extensive knowledge in both fields. I am primarily looking to tutor Math K-12 but am willing to also tutor students who need help with finance and accounting. My prior experience includes being a teaching assistant for university finance courses and am looking to expand this by tutoring more individuals privately. Things you should know about me are that I am patient, caring, motivated, determined and hard working. With that being said, I know that not all students have the same learning style and that their is not 1 solution to helping students succeed! In addition, my goal is to help students build a strong foundation in Math and to help them truly understand the concepts so that the material they learn will help them succeed in all future Math endeavors. In summary, I hope you give me the chance to be your tutor as I want my students to enjoy and understand Math the way I do. Best, Brent

Enthusiastic and Experienced GCSE/iGCSE Mathematics Tutor

"Everyone can do mathematics" - That's what I believe and I want to help you believe it too and achieve your potential. I can help you to take what you do know and build on this to build your confidence and grades. I love my subject and believe that anyone can do mathematics with the right help. I believe that students need to not only be able to do the maths, but have an idea of how it works. I try to help my students not only increase their skills but to also increase their confidence in their own ability. I enjoy helping students to develop their mathematical understanding and to achieve their learning goals. I can confidently teach GCSE maths from grades 9 to 1 (or A* to G if you still think in those terms). I am a UK qualified mathematics teacher with over a decade of classroom teaching experience. I am familiar with the National Curriculum and GCSE/iGCSE requirements and can look up others. I will work with you to provide a bespoke programme to improve your mathematics skills, proficiency and confidence. I love mathematics and you can too. I have run my own mathematics department where I was responsible for writing and developing schemes of work in line with the curriculum. I am a versatile teacher with the ability to present a concept in several different ways as I have a solid understanding of mathematics. I have also marked examination papers and moderated coursework for GCSE Statistics so I have insight into how examination boards work.
